1966 Chevelle Wagon

That chevelle is badass. Never seen one before.

MindBomber 05-11-2014 02:05 AM

This isn't a particularly good deal, I just absolutely love it.

1979 Chevy Cheyenne

Amazing truck but for $22,500 i think i'd rather buy one that's stock and in decent shape and do the build myself.

You'll probably end up spending more than 22,500 plus time and headache.

GabAlmighty 05-11-2014 01:24 PM

Might not be a good buy due to the "it needs bodywork and paint" part. But definitely still worth a look if I had the money.

1971 datsun 510

fliptuner 05-11-2014 01:48 PM

That 610 wagon was the same as a 510 w/ a L20, aside from the leaf sprung rear. I was tempted to slam it and rat it out but no need for another toy. The price was definitely right.

To me, the truck is flawless, and that addresses the biggest problem (quality of workmanship) with buying another person's build.

The $10k+ in savings that come with buying over building is also nice.

fliptuner 05-11-2014 03:12 PM

If the craftsmanship is good and 95% is done as you would do it for yourself, then it's more than worth it.

Gotta figure it's a rebuild or something but that's still pretty interesting. Nice find.

Geoc 05-11-2014 06:17 PM

The fact that the BMW has been lowered (modified), I wouldn't say it's a good deal.

westopher 05-11-2014 06:49 PM

Lol, lowering a car properly doesn't negate its quality.

GS8 05-11-2014 10:01 PM

Great car if you have back problems :teach:

Properly is hard to define, you could say that for something like a civic, but something like a 100k BMW is another matter. The suspension for those things are so much more complex that just because you do due diligence doesn't mean it's proper. You run a lot of risk of damaging or shortening the life other parts like self-leveling struts without knowing.

I like this ad for these two sentences.

"Don't call me and ask why the truck's so cheap; I'm realistic about the value unlike a lot of people on here. If it's so cheap then come buy it."

Too true.

Also found this ad in the auctions. Went unsold on April 30 at 2.5 Million JPY. No sold ad on this car since then.. so it's likely a scam.
