Let him know he should hold it for me. Messaged him, will head to Nanaimo tomorrow pending nothing major wrong with it. Will be the new Kitsilano M3. Boring Honda can go to someone else.

Fack I was just on the island this weekend and was looking for an actual good buy since they seem to pop up over there. Didn't think to check kijiji

Has the Duncan S2000 popped up anywhere else yet?

I actually paid more then asking for the car because there was so many inquires. I've since put nearly $1000 into it, and the price isn't firm.

Holy crap that dakar yellow M3 is a steal. Good thing you guys are on it already otherwise I would be on my way to Nanaimo and then have to explain to my wife why I keep buying cars.

The yellow Cayman is a flip. I posted about it a few months back. It was for sale on CL Qualicum early January with no pictures for $29k. It was bought and listed on usedvictoria a few days later for the current price $34,400. No price drops since then:

2006 Porsche Cayman S Saanich, Victoria

It always makes me wonder -- how do people turn a profit in doing this? Taxes from the transaction alone would easily gobble up a good chunk of the profit. And then there is the risk of the car not selling...

I'm sure they declare the taxes lower than what they paid when they purchase it. But it seems like most of them flipping only break even since they lose out on the profit from paying tax. Maybe they see it as an opportunity to own a Cayman and then sell it off when it comes close to having to maintain it, so pretty much getting to drive it for close to nothing.

My cousin bought that car, he picked it up last night. Extremely clean! Even has a blue OEM top.

He is going to keep it, not planning on selling it for a while.

It's a good buy until the maintenance expense bankrupts you.

Would be much higher if it was admissible to the USA.

type-j 04-18-2017 01:22 PM

The guy must of got alot of hits on that Dakar. I see he raised the price to $13k now lol

i ain't even mad.

he's still well under $'s. rather OP gets the money than a curber.

the strut bar is prob worth a grand if you can find one - and ask westo what an OEM wing costs by the time it's on the car.

this car is still a steal if it's a straight legit euro car
