^ that butchered rear fender killed the mood for me. I remember considering this exact car even when the s2000 market wasn't hot

It was a high mileage (~250k km?) DC2 Integra that looked stock, is relatively clean, possibly rust-free, and seemingly well maintained (complete with a photo with tons of dealership service invoices). I forgot what the asking price was, but it was cheap.

The only seemingly bad thing that I can see right off the ad is the rebuilt status. But like I said, with an old car like that, any minor fender bender could easily write the car off.

cdizzle_996 06-02-2017 07:00 AM

Looked very clean for $1500

tofu1413 06-02-2017 08:26 AM

my buddy picked up that Integra :lawl:

the amount of work in that car was well over the asking price. pretty solid besides the two small patches of rust on the quarters.

Car is a deal. Buy it complete and take it to a "lenient" shop and then you've got a decent A-->B car

Somebody bought it LOL. Pretty sure someone on RS :fullofwin:

The Integra is mine. Just sold it to one of Tofu's friends. The rebuilt status came from a fender bender in 2011. Couple thousand dollars worth of damage caused it. In this day and age this Integra is probably one of the most solid out there, especially at the price. Had my phone blow up with about 50 calls yesterday. Tofu, you should show your friend the build thread ;)

That's my old build thread for it.

I can't believe how much the FRS has depreciated compared to something in the same price range new like a Miata or a WRX or even a 6 cylinder Mustang.

I would have thought it would have stayed desirable because there are not many affordable RWD 2 door coupes out there anymore.

Hondaracer 06-02-2017 09:58 AM

its a chicks car in disguise thats why

the BRZ of the same vintage seems to be holding its value better than the FRS

I remember your patio has a red hue to it from painting the lip for that car lol. Looks like you took really good care of it. He got a solid car for the price.

And to think the dealer probably marked it up $2-3k already.

I wonder what effect the change from being a Scion to being a Toyota will have.

scion being the defunct brand that it is now probably doesn't throw out the vibe that the FRS is a "good car"

even though the car is more subaru than toyota cares to admit. See that trunk liner? yeah even that's subaru, but the scion brand is deeming the car a shitty car.
