I still think you are right about the fake ad, since craigslist might as well not even fucking exist anymore when it comes to cars with all the scams, but thats like a 15k car on a good day. |
I may have posted this Z3 M roadster before. It is now down to $14,500. I keep watching it. I don't even mind that it is modded although the factory wheels are nice. 1999 BMW MZ3 Roadster Saanich, Victoria https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/u...061871_934.jpg |
Did i get a good buy? Got a 2001 bugeye jdm wrx auto with 125,000 clicks for 5900 rally blue with oem hid projectors and an sti exhaust. First thing i did was take it to hbl autosports to do a oil change, tranny fluid and filter flush, transfer case fluid change, diff fluid change, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, new tires and tire valves, new spark plugs. timing belt was done at 98,000 km and water pump done too, pvc is new too. No oil leaks around the engine, valve cover gaskets look good and holding. Compression test shows 45 across but thats because it was sitting for 6 months, leakdown test shows 15% cylinder 1 and 5% cylinders 2-4, they said cylinder 1 may go down after a while if i do couple more oil changes every 3000 clicks and also using 94 octane (the previous guy filled up 3 times in a row with regular, thankfully nothing was harmed.) All in all im now into it for total 7500. Only other issues is the front drivers side axle boot will need to be replaced soon, passenger rear window does not go down (all others do) and the japanese aftermarket deck will need to be replaced with a normal aftermarket deck. Its my first time buying a jdm wrx so i don't know if i got a fair price for it. |

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/...254339544.html Here's a mainland car that's been for sale for awhile. More money for sure, but the subframe has been done $$$$, the roadster paint matched hardtop $$$$ and the suspension refresh $$$ could make it an about equal deal. Plus roadstars FTW :fuckyea: Not saying it's better, but the above would easily set you back more than the 4k delta in price. Owner is a local BCB member, the car is very clean. |

In fact the black book value on this 7 series is 19k-22k, he may be even asking too much for it. |
The early pre tech update twin turbo 4.4 motor is the biggest piece of crap they ever sold. Endless problems. Engine replacement is more than the car itself. |

All of these V8TT N63 powered cars will eventually get to the point where the valve stem seals will need to be replaced due to heavy oil consumption. If not that, they'll most certainly be pissing or burning oil somewhere else. There was a point where we had about 4 in the shop with the engines out for engine replacement or repair... |
i wonder if you can just drop in a LS motor..... Would be hawwwtt.. |

it was probably bad luck, i kept it too long.. 2 years ownership. i hated it.. but it drove nice when it ran. engine was great failed Electronic motor mounts failed ECU - the motor mounts shorted it (reprogrammed all keys and immobilizer) failed MAF failed ignition coils x 12 - replaced it twice ($150 x 12) wear and tear: brakes wore really fast shocks replaced |
