for 30ish you could have this Z4MC - I drove it a couple of months ago. It is absolutely cherry. A better car in every single way except collectibility.

Oh man! That is so tempting, I had one before and I sold mine for an s2k. I loved it so much, such a great car to have. All the power in the M3 with much more nimbleness. Best of both worlds in terms of fun factor, and comfort; compared to the s2k. Now if I could only convince the wife :QQ:

Edit: For anyone who is considering the S2K, roadster market etc, I strongly urge you to take a look at the Z4M. These cars are seriously awesome and definitely a dying breed. Way more bang for the buck and better buy (imo) than the s2k (prices are rising to insane levels). Maintenance is still rather diy friendly (albeit parts more costly but not going to break your balls). But most of all, it would put a great huge smile on your face while carving through s2s without feeling like your back is gonna break, like in the s2k lol

Speaking of BMW, the black 02 M5 in Victoria is now $17,500 For some reason Forward Cars has it listed for $18,500 as well. Strange

No controversy, the e39 is one of bmws most beautiful modern cars. If I disagreed though tofu probably wouldn't lose his shit haha.

I correct myself. It's the best looking modern M5. :lawl:

(E28 original M5 is too cool)

westopher 08-22-2017 07:47 PM

I guess the sarcasm didn't come through. That was a pretty uncontroversial thing to say on a car forum.

2001 BMW M3 Coupe - Manual, Carbon Black! - $14500

Not great deal but impressively little work considering the mileage. Good to know these things can last with maintenance.

That's my good friends car :) It's technician owned and very well cared for, definitely does not feel like it has 362k on the odometer when you drive it.

If I didn't pick up the silver M3 from Tofu I would've bought this car instead. (Pictured on the right below)

Hnggghh minty interior.

snowfarmer 08-24-2017 07:06 AM

Except for the leather on the drivers seat but I guess that should be expected with 360,000 km worth of farts in that seat base.

I *know a guy* who is selling his G8 for a smoking deal. Apparently he's just tired of the little things that go wrong with a pre-bailout GM product. But he loves the power and sound.

Strip it, Weld the diff and go drift with it until the motor blows up. Swap in LS V8 and continue to shred tire to more things explode :alonehappy:
