No claims doesn't mean no repairs. Tons of cars have had under the table body work. My mk5 had no claims but was about 11 different shades of red. That said I was upfront about that with the buyer.
Maybe all you need to do is ask "what has been repainted/repaired on this car" and you will get an answer.

Nah, lets keep hammering our keyboards and speculate.

Talked to owner yesterday, he’s selling as he prefers his e46 m3, he said front and rear bumper are repainted but no claims on car. The front bumper doesn’t line up to the hood, I’ll post the picture later. I didn’t see any mods other than the stereo, owners has no maintenance records so no knowledge of things like throttle value actuators or rod bearings being replaced. He’s very upfront about things, so I don’t think it hurts to ask.
The 'angry' headlight covers annoy the shit out of me
I remember when those were teh isht.
I had a set on my bugeye WRX. Until one of them flow off on the highway. I had to drive from Burnaby to Whistler "winking" at every other car on the road.
Too bad it isn't about flipping cars to lose money, I'm really good at that.

It's not a desirable car and not necessarily a good buy but damn, an '84 Corolla sedan with 16,900 km. There's a nostalgia factor for me because it was my parent's first car and I grew up with it for 10 years.

Splendid has been on a roll finding these 80s and 90s time pieces. Most cars were shit back then but it's nice seeing clean low mileage examples to remind us what mistakes we should never repeat. That Lynx was priced at $4800 btw.

I viewed this car a few months back and he was asking $29.5k. Body of the car was in rough shape. Both bumpers misaligned. Front bumper needs paint. Tailignts pushed in. Exhaust isn't straight. Steering wheel is heavily worn. Ghetto sub install in the trunk. Drove ok but I passed on it. Owner owns a shop and did say he prefers his e46 m3.
I feel like this car has been hit and repaired under the table for cheap.
the people that i know that own standard lancers do ok with them. theyre decently reliable, just some parts a tad more money than say the equivalent civic or corolla.
