Haha. I saw them too! Did my due diligence and researched the advantages of downdrafts and I think I'll be sticking with my SU's. Don't hesitate to post up if you see triple sidedrafts though!!!

Dirt cheap winter beaters
1989 Suzuki Swift 2dr hatch
1993 Mazda 323

Also, not necessarily a "good buy," but here's a minty fresh '83 Supra
Rare " SURVIVOR" Toyota SUPRA

Noted. Same goes for Mikuni/Solex SU - even if it's just parts.

Cool to see a survivor. But the red interior. What were they thinking back then.

That's not a bad buy at all. The price of Fox bodies have been going up like crazy these pass few years. My first car was a 79 Cobra for $500. I have always wanted to by another Fox body, but can't justify spending $5000-$10,000 it seems lately for a nice one with under 200,000km's.

dared3vil0 09-30-2014 07:35 PM

Contacted the owner. Start of an amazing track car. :considered:

2010 Subaru IMPREZA WRX

I'm not keen on Subaru prices but this seems like a decent deal!

Qmx323 10-01-2014 07:50 AM

^ sounds like an out of province car, likely from ontario based on the e-test and safety wording as those are only required in ontario to register the car. so probably has a bit of rust

then again its just a guess

I used to own an 84 as a first car when I was 17. Bladder pump lumbar support ftw.

actually a moot point. one of the TL's i owned was from ontario originally. it spent a good 4 years there. before i bought the car i got underneath it and there was no rust anywhere except for the exhaust..

the nice one's are obviously worth the money because its a better starting off point.. it all depends on what you want out of the car. that one listed for 2k could be the perfect start to a resto or a track car. but to get it to a point where its a decent cruiser, you'll easily end up pouring about 6k + into it.

you'll have to put in quite a bit of money to get it to a somewhat decent point if you intend on tracking it. its perfect to just hoon around in but not much else.

Don't you have to win a lottery first though?

He is not gonna accept $2k.

The one thing that can help your reputation on here is if you actually follow through on anything that you say. From what've been seen on here you are all talk

Go actually buy something that you said you would and post pics with ur name in it. Then we'll talk

fliptuner 10-01-2014 03:55 PM

Will try to get some pics up once I get a car. Until then I religiously browse CL, Autotrader on the daily. Most of the cars that I want badly are over my budget though. Not looking to get in debt or finance like many do wanna pay cash!

Looking for my holy grail once in a lifetime find like this guy

Drive by one on the island at a dealership asking something like $23,000 this past summer!!!

Edit: it's cheaper on CL ;)
