Here is some more information regarding this vehicle. The chassis should have approximately 101k on it, and may still need the following:
1.) Front subframe cracked around engine mounts - $600 + part
2.) Slight front vibration, Front rotors cracked - 600$
3.) Rear trailing arm bushings worn out - 600$
This is from the ad posted a year ago. The new (current) owner may or may not have addressed these issues.

Anybody else see the 2006 M3 black manual with only 68000km on CL yesterday?
Was only posted for 2 hours and the guy said it sold immediately.

$23,900
Asked him for inspection so i guess he gave to the first guy with cash. What if there are subframe issues or VANOS problems. Didnt want to go in buying a car blind as cheap and good deal as it was.

Is it just me or does the new CL layout totally blow? Tried looking for something in auto parts and I was getting searches from every other category.

I've had a couple PMs about what I know about that e36 so I'll just post here. As said before, subframe is cracked, front rotors are cracked and many of the suspension bushings need to be replaced. Other things I remember is the motor needs a valve adjustment, headlights were flickering so needed something to do with the wiring fixed. Car had a US spec exhaust and should be replaced with a proper euro spec exhaust. Car needs a new carpet as its torn quite badly behind the center console. Armrest is missing (not a bad thing, I fucking hate mine.) I wouldn't be running a race bucket and no airbag without harnesses and a cage, so either way, something should be done about that. If you want the car to thrash, about 2.5k and some time in your garage should suffice, if you want the car to be a driver that you want to take on road trips, have look amazing and a few days at the track I'd say you'd hit that 5k mark when all said and done. This info is all based on the thought that the current owner has addressed none of the previous problems, that it had when he purchased the car a year ago. If someone drove the car for a year WITHOUT dealing with things like a cracked subframe and fucked up rotors, I wouldn't even consider buying a car from them though.
My opinion:
By the time all is said and done you are going to be into the car for 12-13k and its still not an M3. Its as good as one, but it wont carry the same value when you sell it. Also the last INCREDIBLE eurospec M3 I saw for sale was 14k, and you are going to be able to sell that car for 14k or more until the economy completely takes a shit again.

Current owner has not addressed any of the issues at all , however he did purchase the subframe reinforcement kit . Just not installed. Car has rough idle, mushy brakes and the cracked frame makes loud noises when making right turns. Interior isn't in the best condition for a car that has so little miles . Like westopher said - I wouldn't consider this car at all knowing the fact that it's been driven for a hard 8,000km with significant damage to the frame. Car has potential just not for me. FYI he is now asking $10k for it , not $9.

Lol you got it for too cheap too. Definitely put in some good work to really bring that car up to snuff though.

A bucket seat and roll bar away from track ready looked and handled like M3 as well. That 2.5 M50 was pretty reliable.

That E36 325i could be a good buy, offer no more than 9K, sell the goofy racing dynamics bits for insane money, gut, track, win?

I don't know how people believe that car is worth it. Buy an M3.
Look at the resale of a B16 EG that was cool in 2004.
