Turbos get bigger brakes as well iirc

some of the JDM spec cars get Bilstein struts.

TouringTeg 10-30-2017 08:38 PM

^ Yes. The larger 4/2 pot brakes that were standard on USDM/CDM/UKDM TT cars. They were optional for the 93 and 94 JDM cars. After that the TT 4/2 pot brakes were standard on JDM 95-02 cars. :nerd:

Mine has the Bilstein yellow shocks and handles well for stock. I think you are right a lot JDM cars came with them standard.

Volvo based Freestyle. Nothing spectacular but could be good for winter beater / hauler

snowfarmer 10-31-2017 03:11 PM

Holy crap! That is a bargain for that Freestyle. Not my cup of tea but if someone was looking for a sensible grocery hauler.

The Freestyles actually have pretty high CVT failure rates.
If you can find one, the Taurus X with the 3.5L and 6A is much better.

What do you guys think of this? Price wise

westopher 10-31-2017 05:52 PM

I don’t know anything about them, but I’m stunned it would be that much.

Jmac 10-31-2017 06:24 PM

$20k for a 9-year-old TSX seems pretty steep

Claims $40 to fill 50 litre tank. Seems legit

2003 Acura RSX Premium - Richmond $5,960 | autoTRADER.ca

I found this 2003 RSX while browsing AutoTrader. Car looks very clean if those are indeed actual photos. I like the fairly low mileage (for its age) and the Honda reliability. Assuming it's a clean title, will have to contact the dealer.

Thoughts?

V6!

bcuzracecarz 10-31-2017 10:21 PM

Meh, it's a premium silver (common) auto rsx, if it was manual I'd say it would be worth a look but there are so many autos out there it's not that exciting. The auto paired with the k20a3 in the rsx is terribly boring and uninspiring

Everything looks correct to me, ie things that make it a premium trim is all there. Wear and tear on seats, hazing headlights seem alright for its age and mileage. One thing I don't see is excessive wear on the floor mats, especially where the right heel sits, perhaps it used to have rubber mats.
You're on your own about price, cuz I haven't kept up with that.

Agree, A4's depreciate very quickly but then many said that an Audi hits a lot of maintenance issue in the 6-8 year range.

For a little bit more than $14K, I've seen 2010 (V6, not the complicated V8 engine) S4's listed.
