Then you get rod bearings and throttle body issues with both.

How is the DCT on the M3 in terms of reliability and driveablity ?

been dailying my e90 m3 since '16 - love it
best daily i've had and reliable thus far

DCT on the E9X series - def need the CSL reflash - makes shift much smoother and faster

i got my e90 m3 used and prev owner already flashed it so its been really good

as for rod bearing issues - run a thinner oil than the factory 10w60 (ive been running 5w40 since day 1 ownership)

The e92 is just hitting the bottom of its depreciation curve. Those that actually got driven aren't easy to sell because there are still SO many around in great shape. Now that they are getting into the "oh fuck what do you mean I have to maintain the car" age for their second owners, lots are going to flood the market, and need plenty of love. Their low prices will drop even the nice ones coming up soon.

The next couple of years will be a great time to buy. That said, even if they were cheaper than the e46 I'd still rather an e46 if its supposed to be the "fun" car.

I love the e90 exhaust note, but there's just something about the e46 that I love more.

Agree the rasp on the E46 is addictive

You won’t have any problems, guys have been running supercharger kits on them for years. Never heard of a DCT failure, just don’t be doing WOT from a complete standstill, get it moving a bit first. After owning a E92 DCT with the Euro/GTS/CSL whatever you want to call it flash and more recently a 6MT E90, I’d go with a DCT if I ever buy one again. It’s a much better transmission suited to the S65 engine. I’d love to pick up a S/C’d E90 DCT if I ever get rid of this pesky mgt.

Ironically, I just saw a S Type R for auction. S/C 4.2L 400hp/400tq. Did some research and am staying away.

Wouldn't touch a 3L, even if it were free.

Bear in mind that the 2013 cars are prone to an engine seizing issue if the engine is run in high rpms frequent enough. An ECU reflash (by the manufacturer) is supposed to fix the problem, but it can't undo the whatever damage that has already been done.

First photo shows some bumper damage on the bottome centre. Looks like just a scrape but whoever interested might want to just take a look at that

2012 Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG 26000km - $45000

Forgot how bad amg depreciates. How bad are these cars? The later 6.2 supposed to be reliableish, they probably have air suspension issues too I'll assume
