Maintenance is a million dollar question (almost literally)
If I’m getting a binder full of maintenance for that 20k car I’d buy it tomorrow. If it’s looking rough and has been poorly maintained I wouldn’t take it for 12 because I’d double it in a week of ownership. They have the running costs of a 100k car, that’s for sure.

I’d be happier with a $1000 beater with a working heater than a V10 M5 with questionable history. At least I know I don’t need a house down payment to keep it running.

most likely anyone who buys MPSS tires most likely won't skimp on maintenance.

anyone considering buying a high mileage, potentially sketchy E60 M5 would be better off saving $5K to $10K more and buy a mint one. I have owned an E60 M5 with really low kms (bought at 10K kms and sold at 55K kms) and $5K to $10K bills are not uncommon. Plus be ready for the shitty gas mileage ever! I was getting 220kms on a 60L fill.
