Revenue Canada doesn’t care, it is not at all illegal. Who does care is the manufacturers and dealerships, hence the need for white people to try to fool them.

they don't really care as long the taxes are paid.

I heard from a friend in the industry "Government supports it because you are paying tax BUT the Transport Canada does not support it - IF you get caught"

I also welcome our new Chinese overlords and would like to make myself useful in any capacity where my white skin provides a strategic advantage.

1000-2000 commission is way too low. The going rate for a something like a GL is 8-10k. Those who actually do this don't actually advertise. Its bad for business.

Last year a friend was offered 10,000 to basically get himself blacklisted by Porsche Canada. He did not accept the offer.

These look better in black

If only I had space to stash it and sell one of my existing cars

Owner just knocked $1000 off which is making this a pretty good buy with sub 100k mileage.

Why? Students making $0 are doing it all the time.... have you seen the UBC parking lot lately?

TouringTeg 03-08-2018 05:37 PM

Black on black M45 is a nice combo. I sold my 160km 02 Q45 years ago for $6000. Issues I had were HID ballasts and starter. The audio and HVAC controls are awful. Smooth power and of course fuel economy is not great.

Also be aware that coilovers are not cheap for these if anyone is going that route. On the Q45 they had to be welded to the spindle.

Am I stupid to think that for the same amount of money, I'd prefer a Cayman GT4 over this?

TopsyCrett 03-08-2018 10:10 PM

I know nothing about the M45, but after the recent influx of posts on here I am starting to really dig the design. It looks like an unfinished car, like concept car-esque. There is a beauty to that.

I’d prefer the gt3 so I could at least toss my dog in the back, but not that GT3, and not at that price. You’d be able to find one as nice, unmodded for probably 10-20k less than that.
No wing=no bueno

jpark 03-08-2018 10:55 PM

gt3 looks so wrong without a wing lol

bcuzracecarz 03-09-2018 05:40 AM

I don't mind the ducktail at all on the 997, it does come with the wing as well for all the stock or busters. And it's not even a contest for me, I'd take this GT3 over a new gt4 all day every day. This has the "special" factor I'm just not seeing yet on the gt4, could be since every one I've seen seems to have an N on the back around here... :rukidding:

Where's jasonturbo when we need him

westopher 03-09-2018 07:21 AM

I believe JT bought his 997 gt3 RS for around that price or perhaps 5-10k more.

Z3guy 03-09-2018 07:40 AM

^ if he did, he got a smoking deal! most 997.1 GT3 RS's go for $200K.

$140K for that GT3 is not a good deal imo. Also, they are not much faster than 996 GT3s. A little too subtle imo.......
