judging by the seams on the seat, looks like a factory leather interior with sport seats. the center arm rest section is probably Leatherette, and the camera has picked up the slight color difference. they usually only put leather on the seating surfaces only, the rest being leatherette / vinyl unless specified. |

Yup. So happy I can mod my 71 and still get collectors. I want to enjoy the car, not be a curator. |
Yah that just changed last year... it was 1950-something before that... was waiting forever to get mod collectors status for my 1968 Mustang... |
That's quite the jump, is it based on the vehicles age or is it fixed at 1974 now for some reason? |
2012 Fiat 500 Sport - 86,000km - $5950 - 5MT https://images.craigslist.org/00Q0Q_...kH_600x450.jpg Looks like a cheap way to get into a newer car, and potentially slap on a big turbo LOL. Go kart anyone? |

You are still allowed some basic mods on any 25+ but a lot of the allowable modifications really only apply to carburated vehicles despite 1993 vehicle being eligible now. It would be nice if the rules were updated to reflect the newer FI vehicles that are becoming eligible. I'm a little salty just cause someone could be cruising in a 200k pro touring muscle car with collectors and be fine but if I wanted to get an FD or z32 and do a few reliability/driveability mods I'd be screwed |
woot. can "era correct mod" 240z ! ZG front end and flares + collector plate ! |

I wouldn't say he's completely out to lunch. If it's as clean as it looks and his paperwork matches up from day one, it'll be worth that to someone I think. |

idk about the various differences between the 500, 500 turbo, and abarth. But assuming that you'd put on a BIG turbo on it, that cost of the turbo itself would be the same regardless of which starting point you chose. That said, the internal reinforcement might be different across all 3 trims, but IF you were to put a BIG turbo on it, you'd have to reinforce it even further anyway. The cheapest Abarth you can find is:2013 Fiat 500 Abarth - 5MT - 95xxx km - $10K https://images.craigslist.org/00V0V_...44_600x450.jpg The cheapest 500 turbo you can find is: 2013 Fiat 500 Sport Turbo - $8900 - 74,xxx km (shady used car lot looking place) https://images.craigslist.org/00w0w_...rt_600x450.jpg So depending on the internal reinforcements you needed to make, you'd choose one whichever one of these makes it cheaper. If you had to overhaul everything on the Abarth to make it decently reliable with a BIG turbo, you might as well had just started with the initial option posted. Upgrades are usually the same cost afaik (ie. coilovers for the 330ci and the M3 cost roughly the same) |
IIRC, the abarth and the turbos were the same physical motor, with the exception of the Abarth's Brap brap brap factory straight pipe exhaust. software slightly different as well. but otherwise same. Abarths get bigger brakes in the front with different pads, lighter wheels (17" are forged) and of course sway bar/ suspension stuff too. interior you get different seats and a thicker rimmed steering wheel. the red pull fabric for accessing the rear seats is a nice touch, very porsche GT3. you also get a large roof spoiler on the abarth coupes ! |
Here's one already done up ... not just a big turbo, this must be a HUGE turbo, is there a misprint? 280hp? Does he mean 180hp? 2013 FIAT 500 Sport Turbo, Local car, No accidents, 280 horsepower - $8900 https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/...508989828.html https://images.craigslist.org/00404_...zV_600x450.jpg https://images.craigslist.org/00e0e_...SJ_600x450.jpg |
It would take a certain type of person to risk buying a heavily modded car like that from a Kingsway dealer |

280hp on that Fiat 500 turbo is accurate - big turbo upgrade, intercooler, tune, water meth injection and so much more. |
