I dont think they were too reliable either so you'll end up going more often than not.

Side note: I do recall somewhere that Saab seats were the best in the business in terms of comfort. Never had the experience of trying it out.

Side Side note: Early 2000 GM shifters were shit so maybe this thing shifts like a rubber ducky too.

That 9-3 aero X sport-combi with a 6MT is one of my unicorns. If I ever find the right one, i’ll Buy it on the spot. That one posted is an auto, too bad.

While on E39 M5 topic, here is another one with much lower km, and no dead pixel on the dash it seems.

2002 S2K with 130K on it. $19K. Seems reasonably clean.

It would be a good deal for $20k with the hardtop included.

Checking out that AE86 today, emailed him when he posted it - he says there is rust. We shall see how bad it is.

jing 03-19-2018 10:34 AM

That 86 has been through a couple owners now with the Frankenstein motor iirc

Good luck.
I had a hachi back in the day, and it was a great car. Fun to drive, and so much personality.

Hopefully it's not a basket case.

Its 90k not 9k. Living in the GVRD its not that difficult to only drive 5k a year.

ae86envy 03-19-2018 11:38 AM

I’m the owner of the AE86, I got it in August last year. All I’ve done to it is fix it up. New shocks, wheel bearings, alternator, broached timing gear to fix the 7age timing which was way off and lots of cleaning. I’m selling it to buy my dream car, another corolla GTS! I hope it finds a good home and someone who wants to continue on with it.

Oh boy I wish I had the spare change to buy this one. I haven't seen a reasonably priced S2000 in quite some time.

I think this one is under market. The only issue is blue on blue is polarizing. Love it or hate it. If it's real 19k is a great deal.

There was a red 02 S2000 118kms for 23k in Victoria all stock. It was listed in January and didn't sell but listed again in February (I think) and it sold in a few days.

TopsyCrett 03-19-2018 02:27 PM

If anyone wants a project that requires bodywork, that AE86 would be perfect. Was very comfortable for what it was and is sorted out mechanically. After some paint, rust repair, a new steering wheel and installing the new front Rad support it comes with, it is a good candidate for someone who really wants that kind of car.

Interior is stripped, and has no carpet if you don't mind

These and the Minis used to dominate the local AutoX races when I was in high school.

I'm usually not a fan of low hp cars, but these are something else. Driving a Swift Gti at 9/10ths is probably more fun that driving a Porsche at 5/10ths.

That would make for a good Lemons car.

2002 RSX Type-S for $6500 with 205K km. It looks largely un-modded which is now pretty darn rare.

Saab seats are similar to Volvo seats. But just like Volvo, they tend to be overly complex and finicky.

Then again, these days, what Euro/Scandanavian car isn't "overly complex and finicky"?

I hate this gen of civic and the only true 7th gen civic was the ep3. But it's a good buy for someone who actually wants smt reliabile for a change.

$5,500 @ 99,000km 1 owner 2003 Civic Si (em2?)
