2002 S2K with 130K on it. $19K. Seems reasonably clean.
I wonder what the inspection was for.

I hate this gen of civic and the only true 7th gen civic was the ep3. But it's a good buy for someone who actually wants smt reliabile for a change.

$5,500 @ 99,000km 1 owner 2003 Civic Si (em2?)
Don't the 7th gen Civics with the D17's have head gasket issues? I'd probably just spend the extra cash and go with an 8th gen.

I don't actually know anything about the 7th gen civics aside from they're the ugliest civic and generally the whole community and myself have an strong hatred of it.

Probably well deserved if it does have HG issues on a 1.7L 4 cylinder. Man what was Honda thinking. Put a shit engine and named it the "Si", what a disgrace.

I'd spend the extra money so I don't have to look at a 7th gen si. There's actually a 7.5K modded 8th gen si, 19x, xxx tho.

But for the regular people, it'd probably be a pretty decent car. I can't imagine it being as unreliable as a BMW's cooling issue or ringlands (apparently BMWs are suceptible to that too)

Pretty sure I've written about the 7th gen Civic here on RS somewhere before, probably in this thread earlier. I had a 04 SE 4 door beater in the past. It was a good car. Kind of regret that I sold it...

Honda fxxked up with the 01-03 cars -- no doubt about it. The overall direction of the car wasn't wrong or bad, but the execution was very poor. The choice and long term quality of a lot of components just weren't there. Tons of stuff would break after the cars build up a bit of mileage. It was bad.

But at least Honda realized this, and basically fixed every single problem the 01-03 cars had when the released the faced lifted 04 cars. There were tons of upgrades everywhere. Things that broke before weren't breaking anymore. I bought my beater at 175k+ and the engine still felt good. An oil change and a tune up later, the engine purred and revved like it was brand new. I was completely blown away.

Lots of people disliked / hated the D17 mill, and I'd disagree with that. My beater had the non-VTEC D17A1, and I liked it for what it was. Like I said, the engine purred and revved like it was new even at 175k+. As far as I'm concerned, the D17 was meant to be a pedestrian workhorse engine, not a thoroughbred like the B engines were meant to be. A workhorse cannot run fast, but it will just haul, and haul, and haul, taking in all the abuse you dole out without skipping a beat. Some people liked the D16 better, and I'd say I like them both for different reasons. The D17 was noticeably torquier than the D16, esp in the low to mid range -- perfect for everyday driving. It was easy on gas, and it wasn't at all picky about brands and octane.

The flat floor in the rear passenger area was a god-send. It was my first car having that particular feature, and it made me wonder why every other car out there doesn't use a flat rear floor. From a utility point of view, it just made sense.

The trunk on my 4-door sedan was ginormous. It can swallow 2 large suitcases with room to spare. A lot of cars bigger than the Civic couldn't do that.

The car had crazy good visibility from the driver seat. Even to this day, I'd say there aren't very many cars with as good a sight line all around the driver like the 7th gen Civic was.

And it was cheap and easy to work on too. Everything was available in plain sight, and easily accessible. The engineers designed the component layout well.

Three of my friends bought and sold one each in the past year, the most recently sold one went for 6.1K after no interest at 7K. Even at 6.1K, albeit higher mileage, was clean and had HFP kit. Not sure I would want a 5.5K ep3 tho.

GM no longer does them.

Langley Fiat (in Langley) still do Parts and Service for SAABs.

Also, off topic but if you need Suzuki Parts and Service can be done by North Vancouver Mitsubishi.

It's a granny knob. It spins so the driver can steer with one hand. Useful on a forklift in a warehouse, bad idea on a car.

As an update to this, apparently that M5 sold at full ask.

Someone posted up that as they were buying the stock wheels from him, someone else pulled up with cheque in hand for the car. Not sure how legitimate this is but if so, that's insane.
