I think this is an amazing find. So much nostalgia

PS. The reason I've been more active in this thread than usual is because my ML was written off recently due to hit and run. I'm looking to get an old Mercedes to daily. If anyone sees any W123 or W124 (Preferably coupes, and Diesel) let me know!
Bought a $400 MK3 Golf off a friend to use in the mean time :fullofwin:

^ My relative has an 03 black and loaded ML500 with 215k taking up space in the garage. Not sure what's wrong with it but it will probably need to be towed away. PM if interested and I'll ask him what he wants for it.

bcuzracecarz 03-29-2018 05:26 AM

tofu1413 03-29-2018 08:10 AM

TouringTeg 03-29-2018 08:19 AM

Doesn't surprise me it all it sold for good coin. It is as close as you can get to buying a new EM1.

Nostalgia is a helluva drug.

tofu1413 03-29-2018 08:53 AM

that was when manufactures spent money on actual R&D - double wishbone suspension, variable valve lift, proper shift feeling transmissions.... not apple car play and gesture control crap.

westopher 03-29-2018 09:25 AM

It only takes two people with money to want something in order to spend something stupid in an auction.

So when cars get hit for like $28k in the rear. What normally goes wrong with it if you purchase it?

A bent exhaust can run $10-15k+ and it doesn't take much to bend one in a collision.

Looks like the Turbo & Actuator need to be installed. Would have to talk with the owner to find out the condition of the current Turbo on the car.

I remember that one too.
But this one is evidently heavily tracked, keep that in mind.
