Selling my Odyssey. I've had the Transmission flushed three times using Genuine OEM fluid, the internal filters changed out and new OEM Transmission solenoids installed as precaution. These J-series transmissions fail because these solenoids get clogged. I added in an external filter on the return line to prevent them from clogging in the future. Also did a fresh synthetic oil change when I got the car. My next step was to add a transmission cooler, but an opportunity came up to buy a W123 and I cannot afford to keep this around.

$7500 for RSer's ! Anyone starting a family soon on here

^ I believe there is a Vehicle For Sale section for personal vehicles. To put one's own vehicle on CL Good Buy thread seems a bit self-serving. If someone else posts it here ... then OK.

Yeah you’re right, I agree. I saw members post their cars in here before and I thought I would as well for the exposure. Feel free to take down the post admin.

ps. It is priced high yes, but for anyone looking for a reliable pristine condition van (most have disgusting interiors and were family workhorses) I stand by my price. It really is in great condition and drives sooooo smooth.

Most V6 Honda's are plagued with transmission issues... a ~$2500 repair job. I resorted to doing research on the Honda forums to do everything I can do make this last to over 300k. Service records are available as well. I know it is 17 years old, but look at what is out there on the market. I can almost guarantee that most were not taken care of, or experience slipping clutch packs and/or the dreaded hard-shift.

I may have posted my own car here. But honestly, don't give any shits about being self serving. This is Vancouver, where everyone is out for themselves. Good luck with your sale.

It is pricey, but the work you did on the tranny should help this van get to some high miles. I loved my 2001 Odyssey*. When we bought our 2011 Odyssey, it was such an absolute piece of shit that I wish we had our 2001 back.

*sold it due to tranny issues :okay:

My everlasting memory of Honda Odysee is my buddy driving his parents van and trying to light a joint in his mouth at a left turn across traffic and rear ending the fobs in front of us because they committed half way through the intersection then panicked and stopped dead in the middle of the road lol..

We ended up convincing them there was no damage and drove off

1974 Toyota Hilux $2,500 147,000 km in Vicoria

One of the last unicorns around.
74 Toyota Hilux

This truck just needs a little love in order to be completely perfect.
Before I owned it, it had collectors plates. and had been in the garage in oak bay for years.

The good:
New tires
New battery
New brakes
New clutch slave cylinder
New windshield wipers
Rhino lined bed

The bad:
Needs new front headlights (probably just bulbs) high beams work fine.
Steering wheel needs to be replaced.
The Cab mounts are rusted.

Other than that it's an awesome little truck. Straight body with no bondo. Starts every time. Rust on the frame, but no holes which is rare! Come take a look. It's a head turner everywhere I go.

The Truck has around miles 147xxx
offers welcome.
Cheers Less

Those pics look like they were taken in 1992.

Colbyh 06-28-2018 11:11 AM

Anyone got more information on the hilux I don’t have face book unfortunately
Or is that what mr. Money was talking about that sold?

freakshow 06-28-2018 11:23 AM

I don't mind the people that have posted their cars here, but they have to be legit good deals.. like below market/quick sale priced.

Everyone thinks the posting of their own car is a 'legit good deal' ... too subjective. There is a place to post personal cars for sale, it's called Used Automotive Vehicle for Sale https://www.revscene.net/forums/used-automotive-vehicles-sale-only_47/ What is so hard to understand about this?

Quick sale? Put it in your posting. For below market, some people add a phrase, 'price for RS' ... done.

Now this is how you do a posting - 2007 Honda S2000

this is a really rare factory interior - do want just to grab the insides for a future project. :nyan:

Here's a SW feature on a car with the same interior

On The Inside - Chris Hayden's Avantgarde-Package 1989 Mercedes 190e

EDIT

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/...604766069.html

grab this factory 5 spd car, swap the interiors and sell off the red car.

Then use the money from the red car to buy the 3 spoke brabus monoblocks on CL

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rch/...605459448.html

I just blueprinted an entire stance project build in 3 CL posts - just needs air.

tofu1413 06-28-2018 03:54 PM

thats a super cool interior

and i thought i lucked out on my factory plaid pattern seats in my wagon :lawl:
