Summer track car? If the repairs were satisfactorily done.

Dbone 07-03-2018 05:32 AM

You could rip someones leg open with that license plate even at low speed. I can't imagine that's legal.

westopher 07-03-2018 06:06 AM

I don't understand why people don't just mount the plate to the fucking plate holes. You can clearly see them on the front bumper with plugs in them.

In my case my WRX already came with 2 holes from the factory made for Japanese plates. I didn't want 2 more holes on the front bumper of my brand new car.

No, I promise on a stack of Bibles, I'm not the seller. I hate it when people posts their own cars on the CL Good Buy thread.

If you're referring to the Audi TT and I end up buying it, you might see it on CL listed for like $9K after a month. I can't believe it myself, one of those too good to be true. But it has BC plates, pics with background looks like Vancouver. 247 hp with AWD and DSG! That thing new is like north of $50K. It's been on for 2 months so I don't know if it's fake or something but there is a cell number on ad.

A $4k TT with 220k and FV* plates kinda scares me...

whitev70r 07-05-2018 08:35 AM

Sorry ... what is FV* plate mean? Please school me.

Traum 07-05-2018 09:17 AM

I'm guessing freakshow means the car has basically just been picked up, and was issued a fairly new plate.

So the seller is either a flipper, or he realized the car has more problems than it is worth, so he is trying to sell it back fast.

68style 07-05-2018 10:36 AM

The zap straps holding the rear plates on are super classy and reassuring, especially above the totally wonky exhaust pipes

Plates that start with FV* were issued only a few months ago. It's possible that he had the car uninsured for a while, and just decided to reinsure it recently. That would be the best case.

However, many times you can tell when they bought the car based on the plate. So in this case, I would be concerned that he just picked it up and is flipping it, either to make a quick buck, or to get rid of the problems he didn't realize it has after purchasing.

There are many reasons you may have a newer plate on a vehicle, but it's just one point against, that's all

I am surprised the TT is a 2+2
Always thought it was a 2 seaters roadster

My friends car...Msg me if you have any questions  I personally looked over it when he first got it. The engine overall is very mint and the previous guy had it stored in a heated garage. Damage was the car slid into a ditch iirc.

Most irs mustang GTs are still in the 30s which I think is a little high, but this one a pretty killer deal.

If you mount the plate like a normal person the holes would be hidden. If you relocate the plate the holes are visible. How is that better?
