SC430!?!?!??! i cream in my pants everytime i see one float by
Here's why
1) A reliable hardtop convertible if there ever was such a thing. We are talking about an early 2000's hardtop convertible that doesnt leak (only into the trunk and thats rare as hell), doesnt have any mechanical issues, and has one of the most stout and bulletproof powertrains ever.
2) its comfortable and completely quiet like a luxury vehicle should be. These things have one of the most amazing front seats in automotive history. Its plush, its padded, its very supportive. Like a japanese lazyboy. Hell the seats and leather are so good its on meguires leather cleaner!
Take a seat on one of the best luxury convertibles ever made. Its like a rolls royce drophead. Covered in acres of rich wood and beautiful plush leather while being almost completely silent. Ahhh how lexus has fallen nowadays.
3) ITS CHEAP. under 20k for a car that cost almost 100k equivalent today.
4) This engine series is one toyota's greatest achievements. The engine is so smooth and vibration free that it is one of the only automobile engines capable of aviation use. https://www.drive2.com/b/1790872/
"In 1997, the US Federal Aviation Administration issued a certificate for the FV2400-2TC aircraft engine. Which was built on the basis of engines series UZ. It was a 360 strong unit, equipped with a double turbo. It was developed in conjunction with Hamilton Standard, which developed an electronic engine management unit. The FV2400-2TC engine was intended for a light four-seat propeller aircraft of civil aviation."
5) last but not least, its moderately quick and i personally think it looks good with the right color combinations. If you want a LUXURY convertible get this.
i just jizzed my pants thinking about the SC again.
Too bad it isn't about flipping cars to lose money, I'm really good at that.

My dad likes SC430 so I've done some research, is it better to buy the facelift 06+ model for the 6-speed transmission?

Seems like the face lift model has unicorn status.
Just a pain in the ass like looking for a Subaru Forester turbo in stick shift, in the proper WRB color.
