I emailed this guy about this Celica and asked him if there was any rust. He replied that there was which made me ask, can you send me pics of the rust? His reply, just zoom in on the pics in the ad.

A bit of an odd reply, but you'd want to go check it out in person anyways. Common places for rust are the rear fenders (a la every 80's import) under the plastic rocker covers and the underbody/floor pans. Looking at the rear quarters though it may actually be rust free.

You can see bubbling on the rear fender above the wheels on the driver's side. Saw this ad a few days ago and noticed the bubble in the fender right away.

Full repaint is generally not something that will get you top dollar.

Jgresch 08-15-2018 05:20 PM

Pretty sure it was wrapped. Not sure if it was painted at another point though

Title says 2005... Description says 2004... which is it? $115k is $88,000USD which is substantially less than nearly all the asks in USA for a 2005... assuming that's what it is. Wheels are a fitment tragedy, where are the stock ones and why would you change those out for such derivative wheels anyway? Weird.

Blue on blue makes me horny though. I must be part smurf.

Always loved the Q ship when they first came out. I wonder if this can be saved?

I saved a car once. Pretty rewarding actually.

I am not into VIPcars anyone but this Q45 was my favorite.

Those seats are 600GBP each plus shipping from highly reputable online store Demon Tweeks. I could have that whole setup here minus the model specific e46 m3 floor mounts for that price brand new with fresh dated seats (race seats expire for competition use after 5 years from manufacture).

Ya it's really only a fair deal for an e46 owner since it includes all the hardware. I just got a PP from Germany Recaro dealer as their shipping was less than Demon Tweeks. (DHL which turned into Canada Post once in Canada). $1100 + $100 DHL + $130 taxes = $1330 CAD

This would be a sick convertible drift missile.

oldsnail 08-22-2018 10:30 AM

He actually did not let me drive it.
He probably thinks i am a tire kicker.

it rode fine, US car, holes on roof.

maybe pulling in a CTR makes me look younger

snowfarmer 08-22-2018 01:01 PM

If you showed up in a CTR to buy any car I was sellling, you’d get extra consideration as a serious buyer. And i’m an old geezer too.

snowfarmer 08-23-2018 05:05 AM

Good deal for an ‘06 Boxster S, $17K. Dude needs a few less exclamation marks in his ad and the copy doesn’t come across like the owner knows much about cars so who knows what it needs for maintenance but worth a look if one was looking for a Boxster.
