Beautiful car. Tad pricey with 3 claims, but sounds like all parking lot fails. I guess people can’t be all that picky when it’s GVRD driving for 15+ years.

This is now a car you buy to not drive.

westopher 09-24-2018 08:13 AM

Lol. About 100k, 3 accidents, 4, about to be 5 owners, already at the high end of the pricing scale?
No.....Its not.
Unless you plan on making it a GIC with much poorer returns.

I mean't we need to keep a few around so we can show the younger generations that BMW was once a car manufacturer that designed good cars, instead of being a tech company that designs computers and just attaches wheels to them as an afterthought.

nice to see Cayman S's drop back down under 30k ask. Fall pricing.

Nice options on this car - PPI and enjoy.

(I'm a sucker for oddball interiors)

Traum 09-24-2018 09:10 AM

Can't stand that red brown interior, but the rest of the package is pretty nice.

Based on my own observations, the asking price posted by Repo.com is only slightly cheaper than dealership level prices. A lot of times, the cars are in horrible condition. This one certaily looks to be in a good condition though.

At any rate, I wouldn't expect a good price from these guys at all. But who knows how much they'd be willing to negotiate if you really get in on it.

Repo is there to recover the cost of the rest of the loan - so generally it will be what is owed on the car. They do not negotiate from what I can tell.

Just curious on what this GT3 would have owing on it. :lawl:

Then I'd be really curious on what their actual transaction prices are, or how they ever manage to get rid of the cars in their possession. A *LOT* of times their cars are banged up and filthy looking inside and out. If it is dirt cheap, I can justify putting some elbow grease into it to make it look good again. But at market prices for a normal car?

I think I'll just go get a normal car instead.

Volvo v60 wagon Polestar edition 1 of 20 in Canada so it's kind of hard to price. Saw it on the weekend. Dealer used it as a Demo car. Looks like there is a lot of room to negotiate.

i bought 2 cars form repo.com
it is a great place to buy
0 pressure, they dont care if you dont buy it. as-is. can test drive compared to other auctions. they also have a return policy. you can return the car with 24hrs at no charge, AND 30 days (with some type of penalty)

How much bargaining room is there on their cars at all?

it is not really a dealer..
They will lower the price if it sits stale in the lot

TouringTeg 09-24-2018 12:48 PM

you can place your info and will call you on price if interested.

their import trucks (TOYOTA) sell the fastest.

Really nice spec and good price.

Caymans are awesome and its tough to find a better driving experience for that amount of money.

Except for the E60 M5 they had sitting on the lot that wouldn't start and wouldn't allow external mechanical inspections.

EDIT: this was from a while back

EDIT: this was from a while back

I brought a mechanic with me and it was fine.

if it is out of the lot, i just think they dont want to babysit the car.. i feel they dont care if they sell it or not.

they work more like bankers than salesman

whitev70r 09-24-2018 03:27 PM

Repo.com ... prices not particular low. If they hired a car washer/detailer, that would really help move their cars off the lot quicker. Test drove a car once, it looked as dirty as the day they repo'd it.

They sell for market value. Otherwise you'd see corvettes and mustangs for 50k under market regularly.
They aren't working under a non profit model.
Thats why banks love giving loans they know they aren't getting back, as long as the collateral is worth it.

I agree, I like oddball interiors too. I loved that interior on the red MB190 that was posted a while ago.
