Certain colors, certain interiors and certain configurations (no sunroof, 2wd, 6mt only... etc)

that 335i might be pricey, but bound to fit the bill for someone out there... got some guys that detest the F3x gen and still prefer the E9x gen....

thats interesting, from what I've seen, those exact spec clientele are usually for exotics, not bmws. coz im sure u know, in places like richmond, bmws are more common than corollas.

Just for fun DDE Dave's 02 m3 6spd 210kms rebuilt due to glass claim $11,900

nope not just reserved for exotics.

have people waiting a few years for cars to come in (toy cars)

two years ago an avid collector customer wanted a Sepang Bronze Z4 M roadster with light interior....

took about 9 months and one randomly appeared in Quebec. we brought it in for him. Some weird spec cars are like a needle in a hay stack but they do appear at the most random times.

The more flexibility the buyer has, the faster they can buy something.

that would be a pretty sweet pickup for a hoon mobile/autox track rat

wonder what the heinous wheels are worth? Take that off the price of the car and get some square OEM 18's and sticky rubber

Same reason why ppl drool over a S2000 CR.

ofcourse there are always these special cases, but you can't build a business waiting around for a car to popup for that one special buyer right. Majority of your business must be based on something else, trade assists, straw deals etc. That sepang bronze is a sick color tho, I can see why it would be a collector.

If I were to win the 1.2 billion powerball, I will buy that GT-R

Maybe not the best buy but an interesting find. Facelift 335i 6MT RWD with LSD in an inoffensive color and stealthy package. I test drove a couple 335i before I bought my E90 M3. The abs induced fake lsd really neutered the car. Especially something like this with decent torque. Very interested in how this 335i will compare against a stock M3 on the track.

Who wants to spend a premium on a common car in a lame color?
For the same price you can get a Lexus twice the reliability.

For people who don't want to get VI and don't attract unwanted attention. Not everyone wants to be instafamous. I like to hoon in peace.

Did anyone here scoop up a minty EM1 SIR in black recently on Craigslist?

What are your thoughts on this FRS?

First year model... looks pretty much stock except for the wheels and exhaust. Any issues to look for?

That's about the going rate for a first model year example of the FR-S, not a crazy great deal, not a terrible deal. As I understand it there were some NVH issues and some issues with the ECU tuning that were fixed in '14, the ECU tuning issue was enough of a thing that some people avoid the '13's. FWIW, I seem to see more '13's for sale on CL than any other year.

That towing shot is a sweet setup/package. Also, Europeans get way better trailers than we do here in North America.

vitaminG 10-21-2018 02:00 PM

I'm amazed at some of the tiny little shitboxes people tow trailers with in Europe
