Is anyone else concerned that the resident RS Honda salesman doesn't know that the chassis, suspension and brakes is what determines the towing capacity more than the engine size?

I rarely expect car salespeople to know stuff about cars, never mind towing capacity from a Honda salesperson. If he was a dodge truck sales specialist I'd be worried.

I wished you were right but Honda/Acura still had transmission issues even in its 2010+ models

As it was my car, and without knowing anything more than what's in this shitty CL ad, mine is arguably worth more given it's a two owner car with records to new, no needs, and everything was OEM.
Well yeah but maybe if your car was actually a 325is, it could have sold for more.

Lol. Was wondering when Rockafella would show up.

Did I piss you off in real life somewhere for you to incessantly follow me around? I do find it funny how the trim level of my E30 enraged you enough to post your very first BaT comment on my auction.

You should use all that time and energy to write to ICBC, the Alberta registrar, NHTSA, and the original owner telling how they have it all wrong in their databases/memories.

*first and only BAT comment.

Alternatively, you could spend the time driving your own E30 instead of letting it rot in a parking garage somewhere and wasting time poking fun at a guy who actually drives his cars.

^ those Volvo’s look so aggressive and awesome from the front and just horrible from the rear. It’s a shame really or I may have owned a Swedish vehicle for the first time. That’s how much I liked the looks from the front end. The rear just ruined it for me.

Volvo C30 is a jam face.

They can tow up to 5000 pounds however you need to buy the $2500 - 5000 pound tow package with the ATF Cooler. I would say less than 10% of buyers actually use the vehicles to tow 5000 pounds.

I think if you got the stock tow package it came with trans cooler.

My parents had a 2004 Honda Pilot with tow package and it came with one.

All my vehicle gets hitches. Barely ever get used.... but you need to get that tool box home somehow (and fit it in underground parking). Even if it is Honda. Odesseys have great tow capability. Pilot, and ridgeline I’d say are below average in their class.... and ever since the v6 rav4, my mind will never stop seeing the CRV being weak. Wish I could tow our boat with our 1.6L turbo CRV. Ha.

Europeans have it figured out. My E36 towed fantastic. Went across the country in winter with 1500lbs. YJ was awful, way too short.... the Escort GT? I guess I never towed with that one.

For one, as a rule of thumb they are better drivers. And I would argue that their roads are better. And 90% drive manuals.

Sorry to break it to you but it’s just a mk2 focus ST in Volvo clothing. Or vice versa, whatever. Volvo and ford were very close for those years and still are for parts bin use, it this c30 t5R is virtually identical chassis and drivetrain wise to a mk2 focus ST arhat of course we never got here in North America

Alright, this is starting to get really off topic, but you guys made me curious.

Started seeing if i have a AT cooler.
07-09 MDX Did not have an AT cooler as an option in the tow package. although i see a part for it (Cooler (Atf) - Acura (25510-RYE-003)) and i do not see one near the rad.
2010+ has them standard on all models.

flipping through my manual , page 366 states i can tow 5000LBS if there are 2 occupants, and tow 4000LBS if i have 6 occupants.
