Don't really know if it is a good deal or not, but I have always liked the way they looked compared to other SUVs.

The way it was written, it sounds like two different scenarios:

Owner is a Honda tech, old lady brought it in for service and he made an offer to purchase it off of her on the side from my understanding. Been a minute since AJC.

blown head gaskets? :lawl:

I fucken hate it when dealers catorgoize their shit on "for sale by owners" section and then proceeds to put their dealer license number.

too good to be true?

bcrdukes 12-15-2018 07:09 AM

Yes, it is fake. If you Google search the image, it shows up on a handful of random Internet websites.

This dude had no intentions on keeping the car, threw 100kms on it and flipping it for 3x what he got it for. Lame.

We lambast flippers all the time on here... but just cuz he works at a dealer it's somehow less scummy? If anything I'd say it's worse to use a competitive advantage and withhold knowledge from a customer to gain an upper hand and profit off them, but hey, you do you.

You are basing this on the assumption the previous owner wants weirdo's showing up at there house. Lot's of people don't care to sell stuff privately and even if they get substantially less than what they know they could make selling themselves prefer the convenience.

That's because it is too cheap for an almost new GT350.

I'd say it's not very likely that a GT350 owner in Vancouver drove it down to Cali for Rob Gluckman (ABC7 camera operator & aerial photographer from Encino California) to take pics of his car.

- There is a Rob Gluckman Photography watermark on the last photo
- the skyline behind the docks doesn't look like Vancouver
- no pics with a BC license plate showing

I'd give it a 99.99% chance it's fake.

Hondaracer 12-15-2018 02:25 PM

what in the fuck is the point of fake car ad's?

is it just phishing scams? i dont see the point

jshen 12-15-2018 03:10 PM

Reverse image search the 2nd last photo and it's from a dealer in Saskatchewan.

Possibly for comparables to bring the market price of a similar car up or down ie when negotiating

westopher 12-15-2018 06:04 PM

People who get caught posting fake ads on CL should get IP bans

I’ve sold a lot of cars over the years on Craigslist and I’ve seen peope do it to my ads, get someone scheduled to come and look at my car and then suddenly there are a couple of similar ones on CL with lower prices and the buyer shows up and in one case even has those ads printed out to show me my price is too high and my simple response each time is just to say “Go buy that one then” or to point out how that ad isn’t even real. The shit people try... unreal.

Is this capitalism in its purest form? Hah.
