All that top end power sounds fun :awwyeah: |

If you want low end to mid torque/ power you have to get the roots type superchargers which is a twin screw type. Jackson Racing was selling those back in the day. Also like someone mentioned about TongMans Civic Si, if you look closely its a roots type blower hence why he has very good torque and power down low, and he is able to put all that power to the ground, add to that a good driver mod and its a winning combination. |

You're right about the low-mid end torque. My cars always revved high and made good power, but it was the low-mid rpm that was limited by a lack of displacement. The roots blower made up for that. I was pushing around 270whp with my B18b/VTEC/M62 combo and that was amazing back in the day. The car was fast enough for mid-13's on street tires and full stereo and interior. It would have been a 12 second car on drag radials with a little weight loss. I know every fuer dai with a Bugatti runs 9's now, but back in the late 90's/early 2000's if you ran a 14.1 second quarter mile, you were a boss :lol To me the best part was the sound. A roots blower makes such a symphony when it revs, and the sound when VTEC kicked in was glorious. Not my video, because my cars predated youtube :( |
^^was it the crx?^^ |
Jackson racing..there’s a name I haven’t heard in a while |

The original CRX kit came with the puny 45ci blower, aka the M45. The 62ci unit was used in the twin cam VTEC kits and had a 30% larger capacity. We would push out 8-9 psi which hit hard from pretty much just past idle to around 6000 rpm. At that point heat soak was an issue, so we would taper the boost down using the bypass valve. With water injection you could get a psi or two more. With the air:water we were pushing 12-13 psi, but we never quite perfected the intercooler. Space was so tight, and then there was the increase in boost based on the IC plugging up the free flowing intake. It was a lot of fun playing with the jrsc on various motors and heads trying to eke out another few hp. I sold the intercooler to an RS member who unfortunately passed away in a plane crash. The crazy thing is, he invited me to go up in the plane with him that day. Something else came up and I couldn't go. Fuk me, I'd have been dead for a decade already if things went differently that day..... |

Fyi if you order a new EM1 shift knob you will receive the red stitch ITR shift knob. No more black leather black stitch unless you can find old stock. |

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...796119653.html 2009 Rebuilt C63 for 19k (Don't know much about c63 prices in general so this may not be a good buy) |
^a quick cl search will result in several clean c63 for only slightly more |
not sure if good buy, but its a 92 GSR(?) with 170k kms that has been neglected https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...787956359.html (seller doesn't seem to know its a GSR) |
what a shitty owner leaving it in that sorry state |
Took me mazzy in for service today and saw this beauty sitting in the showroom for a cool 1 mil. Considering it'll only go up in price it's not a bad buy at all. https://i.postimg.cc/DwDVZ8Rd/20190116-083936.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/hPscS4Sp/20190116-084050-HDR.jpg P.s. I think my fuel pump is going... So likely it'll cost me the same as a new civic. |

Check out the tach though - that looks like it goes to 8000RPM not 9000RPM like what a GS-R tach would, as the redline on the B17A1 should be 8000? EDIT: The seats/steering wheel look correct though? |

Nice. Ya I remember guys back in the day were pushing around 260-280 whp with the 11-12 psi pulley with water cooling. LHT was one of the companies I remember that did the water cooling mod. Daily driving with a supercharger on a Honda is fun, you can actually pass someone without the need to hit VTEC. Also sat in a few supercharged Hondas back in the day at auto X events and boy it was quick. |
