Sheesh, that's terrible. Hope she was ok.

Yeah it wasn't anything major, just a banged up passenger door, but she wasn't too happy that her brand new car had to be repaired.

whitev70r 02-02-2019 08:20 PM

Not the V but you may be able to keep your wife for these CTV wagons. Specs wise, not too shabby.

Extremely to find that in a manual... Sleeper indeed, little bit of money and you'll have a 300hp machine and people will still think you're just a dentist on his way to work.

tofu1413 02-02-2019 09:24 PM

put some V70 R "pegasus" wheels on and you'll be a very sought after dentist

here's an unusual piece for sale...

I think for this gen S70, classic Volans ftw!

I wonder if this was a legit type R? If so it'd be one of the cheapest LHD ones since a long time. Ad is in Quebec.

I think the seller makes a good point regarding it being a competitor to some other 300hp sedans. Though it is a bit heavier than the competition (although the manual is 200lbs lighter than the automatic variant), it provides a more luxurious and tame ride versus an STI, 335i or S4. It is also much more reliable due to it being naturally aspirated.

Regarding the price, it isn't as steep as you think given it is the most reliable of the competition and also costs the least (similar mileage STI or S4 will cost at least $25k), but if you dislike the look (as many would), then you can disregard this entire post.

Has the right type R bits.... but looks like an added sunroof. The R's didnt come with sunroofs from factory. This one still has the five lug and oem wheels seems like.

Need to look around the car to see if the factory reinforcement pieces are still there and if the type R control arms still there. Lots of type R specific stamped items need to be intact too (engine, trans)

9k.... car going to need at least another 15k to go back to Factory fresh if its a real type R. really big debate if worth saving. Probably need to be a body guy with some spare time should tackle a resto / resto mod on this car.

never doubted its reliability (not a v6 auto so dodged that bullet) nor do i think sti is comparable, but you're right it's a decent proposition next to Germans

Wouldn't it be a lot more likely that someone added 5 lugs to a gsr than someone cutting a sunroof in a type r

Also I'm guessing that means it's a rebuild

If it is real it is the second CDM ITR with a sunroof (that I am aware of) https://jalopnik.com/how-the-acura-i...act-1795295614

probably a dealer post sale installed option. I've sold a few cars before and customer required sunroofs... we did an aftermarket retrofit.

so its quite possible the idiot first owner did it back in the day... :yuno:

@twitchy - man.. those seats are sick on the bertone.
