Not the prettiest but for $1200 for an EL with GSR swap is pretty good

Good deal, even for just the swap

fliptuner 02-03-2019 10:04 PM

Come on guys, have some standards. Just cause it's old, doesn't make it any good.

That’s exactly why I like them. Not every car needs to be good. But I know this is the good buys thread, I just like posting ‘neat’ finds in here. Those cars I posted would be really reliable though... Each one could take another 20 years of driving.

@GS8 Wow. That wagon would clean up good.

I realize that, but a lot of things say otherwise. Stickers, carpeting, upholstery... all make me believe it has only done 3200 miles.

trollface 02-04-2019 05:26 AM

That Civic is NOT worth 10k lol

What a scummy thing to say. If it were so easy he'd have it done it by now.

Hondaracer 02-07-2019 11:27 AM

That R1 engine probably just screams, probably a fun car to drive

Seems like a steal if it checks out: of course do your due diligence. No mentions of issues except for the moonroof tilt function inoperative.

LOL. gotta love the "disabled" tilt function. Way to make it seem like the glass was half full.

are you talking about the TT? Agreed, I don't think that would pass "easy".

The Locost is plated so I'm assuming your comment was about the TT.

The Locost is in Pemberton, if it's the guy I think it is selling that car, he also built an airplane in his garage, a buddy knew him and said he was pretty meticulous.

I can't see how either of those cars would be a good decision for a Vancouver driver right now during the V.I.mageddon. Things are different up here, I'm seeing a few aftermarket exhausts and coilover kits popping up on CL right now that would fit my current winter car. I figure there may be a few people peeling aftermarket parts off their cars and returning them to stock to pass VI and just selling off the parts. I'm letting them fester on CL for a while before I come in with a lowball, I feel like a bit of a vulture but opportunity knocks...
