The solution to your problem lies somewhere in between self-immolation in front of the store and swapping your car to a 302 and T5

I had a customer complain about 15 bucks for the rings which he rather rudely informed me I should be giving away for free.

So I did, and each tire increased in cost by $3.75

Its someone's business, not a charity, he's free to ask however much he wants for his services.
