| Help me decide what JDM to import?
I'm a little confused and browsing auction sites on a daily basis is giving me a headache. I am crystal clear on the import process, inspection and bidding. That is not a problem. I am dealing with Pacific Coast JDM.
My budget is no more than 300,000 yen for the car itself. I think that's plenty to play with. I have a daily driver, this will be more of a weekend car. I want something in good condition and myself being so picky doesn't help.
I am looking into:
95-99 STi
93-96 Evo
GTR (might be out of budget...)
GTS-T
any other suggestions? Anyone that has a jdm import here wanna chime in? I am looking at 3.5/5 condition cars. Thanks

I'm not sure that you'll be able to get one of those cars in good condition for 300,000 yen. If I had enough money, I'd get an Evo VI.

i was curious and just looked up s15 spec-R's on recently auctioned and sure enough...decent ones can be had for 350-450M yen...easily obtainable for OP just to save a wee bit more. That's a lot more affordable than I'd imagine (probably thinking grade 4 going for at least 600M+)

There are literally piles of options so it depends on what you want to do with it. Do you want something unique, or common? Do you prefer it has a USDM counterpart for ease of maintenance, or are you okay waiting for parts to ship over?
That said an ST205 Celica GTFour is always nice.

I was inquiring a normal S15 and they were around 12-15 million yen including shipping and import fees. Not sure if i want to spend the extra 20-25 million for a Spec R. lol

You can probably get a rough GTS-T.
Consider ocean freight, taxes in Japan, Canada duty, taxes in BC, currency conversion, terminal fees, customs exam fees. There might be more, but I dont remember.
