Home Monitoring suggestion

Hi,

I just purchased a home recently and needing some advice on my home security. I was planning on adding monitoring to it, but unsure if I could keep the current system. And usually what type of home insurance discount does adding monitoring give.
So currently the home has a full Brinks home security system ( not wireless) with all the standard features (2 control pads, motion, door and window sensors).
I'm also adding a DigiMerge DH200+ digital video surveillance system with 4 HD Dome cameras, so I can have access to the house on my Iphone.
The question is, would I benefit from also getting monitoring to my current system?! And if so, which monitoring company can I use with my current Brinks system and DigiMerge surveillance system?!
:)

Well my dvr and first set of cameras arrived.... Looks pretty good! Now I just need to pick up a IR camera for the garage and a outdoor PTZ Camera , I'll be set! If anybody have any good suggestion on where to pick up those cameras it would be much appreciated, or about the home monitoring question!
Thx

I have a Foscam setup at my home. Simple IR camera to watch the driveway/garage/front door. Was cheap, and easy to setup

Usually 10%? and you get a discount on the deductible.

I am not sure about connecting those DVR system to the wider internet. Most of them I came across have some serious design issues with security.

Check where the Control Unit of the Alarm panel is, if its a standard Honeywell Ademco or DSC PC3050 or Lynx Touch, then any alarm company can monitor it, if you want, PM me and i can help you find it. there are lots of cheap solutions with an existing Alarm system

He said it was Brinks, so proprietary in all likelihood. Call them or be prepared to replace panel & keypads and pay for programming labour with another company.

Did a search for brinks.... Did they go out of business on there home security department, and does that mean there are no more parts for my brink system ?!
