didn't see the years just 6r80, your only complaint was not being able to row through gears and that would let you do it. Was just trying to save you 15g

Wait.
Hang on a second.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but if two people have no accidents, no tickets in driving history, but one has 43% discount, one has 15% discount, shouldn't the difference in monthly insurance be roughly 43-15=28% difference? I can see a few % difference being 2011 vs 2014, but a 200% difference?

yeah... i'm lost on that. i posted it up hoping someone might know. is it because of the $500 comprehensive deductible? i also do not buy replacement cost coverage from icbc. i am not sure if yours included that.

As for the rest of it, It sure is nice to have all those goodies that an STi has on the occasional track day.
What's your goal here? I don't get your endgame? I should just buy a Mustang because i don't "need" an STi? | yes you should buy a mustang because you dont need the sti. yes i understand your idea of needing to have awd for the weather and it helps in the snow for sure, but what fun is snow if you cant hoon around in it and not give a shit? in the snow all you actually need is ground clearance and winter tires. thats it. fuck the 3 lsd's... so my suggestion to you is buy a used 2013 mustang gt for hooning around on pavement with and buy a used 4runner or tacoma or whatever to hoon around with in the winter in snow and offroad the rest of the year... Correct me if I am wrong, please.
It is also depend on where your car's register address locate.
For example, downtown resident pay a little more than other because of the population density of the area.

BU | that is very true. on my focus with a 35% discount, 2mil liab, 300/300 deduc i pay i think $253 a month. and i live less than 1 km from work.
i remember for the whole year i was quoted about $400 less if i lived in ladner, vs living in richmond.

BU | That's strange. My buddy with the same car pays almost $400 less than what I do and he's in South Van, whereas I'm in Coquitlam.

Because the granularity is actually quite fine, it is down to the postal code.. eg asshat who keyed over a 100 cars in Coquitlam just increase the risk rating for that few block radius.
I used to own a rental next to this chain smoking clown. I am glad his whole family moved away. 40 year old man, with wife and kids still relies on mommy to avoid paying back ICBCis disgraceful. Quote:

Crazy insurance prices. My Legacy (turbo) is $1500/year to insure with full discount. I guess not very many boy racers like it.
At the end of the day, you're buying a $40K+ car and the difference in insurance cost really doesn't make that big of a difference to your total cost.
For my last car, I was looking in the ~$10K range, and paying an extra $1000 a year for insurance (i.e. the difference between owning a MR2 and a Prelude or Integra) was a big deciding factor in my purchase.

FWIW, i'm paying just over $1600/yr for my 2010 STI insured to/from work.
edit: just checked, i actually paid just under $1600/yr
