how was saturday, for those who attended?

Stook 03-30-2015 09:29 AM

It was pretty awesome. I had to sit out in the morning due to rain and the tires I have. Dried up for the afternoon, got a couple dry sessions out of it. green group was open passing, no point by required , makes it even more fun.

westopher 03-30-2015 09:42 AM

Yeah good day. Slick as fuck in the morning. Got one dry session in and had an instructor sit in for it in the afternoon which was good. I cut the day short since I had to head into work for a few hours in the evening. I'd go to an R&P event again for sure. Well organized good times, with a lot of track time.

either way, you cannot go wrong with either because we are technically same group of car freaks wanting to have a good time

lol yeah, always see the same faces every time... its not like theres love loss between all the different groups resulting in an anchorman like show down using automotive parts

trollguy 03-30-2015 09:59 AM

wooohoo, good to hear!

what group is R&P anyhow? :o

Retired and pessimistic.

Dinan3 03-31-2015 07:53 PM

I enjoyed the R&P event last Sat. Luckily the rain stopped and we had dry afternoon sessions. Anyone have pics or vid of Yellow group? Didn't set up my GoPro...

westopher 04-02-2015 12:08 PM

All events until the end of May at mission have been cancelled due to track surface issues.:QQ:

trollguy 04-02-2015 12:13 PM

oh wowzers. while they're at it, they should also pave the paddock and add real washrooms. lol

boatcaptain 04-02-2015 02:30 PM

what is wrong with the track surface at mission??

x2. Didn't they change T9 a few years ago? Curious what else they feel it needs.

jaemc 04-02-2015 03:13 PM

What?! This no april fools joke about Mission events cancelled is it?

I hope I am not being the English police here, but MRP's official statement is as follows:

Unfortunately, due to race surface issues, all races up until the end of May have been cancelled. We will be doing a press release on our web site and our facebook page within two weeks with more information regarding track repairs and start up dates.

Thank-you for your understanding,
Mission Raceway Park Management
With their specific use of the word "race", I can see a few different interpretations and different degrees of how much of the track is affected. So let's not jump to any pre-mature conclusions, and I hope we'll have more information regarding the situation when we come back from Easter.

if it is cancelled - maybe we can group together for a vcmc day at the ridge

duy- 04-02-2015 03:55 PM

charge hotel accommodations to mission raceway, score

Traum 04-02-2015 06:33 PM

Just got word from SCCBC that the Mission road course remains unaffected by the surface issues that their announcement was referring to. So the VCMC Mission track day on Sun, April 26 is still a go.

Nevertheless, I'm sorry to hear that their race season is affected by this surface woes. IIRC, a similar situation occurred last year, but I don't remember the details all that well. I hope their issue will get resolved sooner rather than later...

kchan 04-06-2015 09:11 PM

FFDxTSS needs 25 more people for the April 26 event

Last track day with this engine, was expecting it to blow up. Somehow only made my transmission whine like a dog box

^nice driving

Just bought Hawk HP+ pads front and rear, fresh Centric premium cryo rotors front and rear, Motul RBF600, and booked hotels for ORP May 31. Anyone else going? Fucking stoked to try it again on fresh 275's, and the Koni Yellow setup. Last year I was on destroyed 255's and stock suspension. Should be a DRAMATIC change!

westopher 04-15-2015 08:43 PM

Jelly. I want to try ORP but think I might do Laguna seca later this year to fulfil my childhood gran turismo dreams later this year. That will kill the budget and time off available for long distance track endeavours. I have to keep the other days to Washington and mission.

i would advise you getting some ss brake line while u are at it. Orp is such an awesome track. makes ridge, pir,pr and mission look boring.

went to ridge on the weekend to test out the new corner

I loved it last year!

I'll look into stainless lines for sure, I remember I did last year and and decided against it for some reason? Will have to re-research it. :)
