It was pretty awesome. I had to sit out in the morning due to rain and the tires I have. Dried up for the afternoon, got a couple dry sessions out of it. green group was open passing, no point by required , makes it even more fun.

Yeah good day. Slick as fuck in the morning. Got one dry session in and had an instructor sit in for it in the afternoon which was good. I cut the day short since I had to head into work for a few hours in the evening. I'd go to an R&P event again for sure. Well organized good times, with a lot of track time.

either way, you cannot go wrong with either because we are technically same group of car freaks wanting to have a good time
lol yeah, always see the same faces every time... its not like theres love loss between all the different groups resulting in an anchorman like show down using automotive parts
I enjoyed the R&P event last Sat. Luckily the rain stopped and we had dry afternoon sessions. Anyone have pics or vid of Yellow group? Didn't set up my GoPro...
All events until the end of May at mission have been cancelled due to track surface issues.
I hope I am not being the English police here, but MRP's official statement is as follows:
Quote:
Unfortunately, due to race surface issues, all races up until the end of May have been cancelled. We will be doing a press release on our web site and our facebook page within two weeks with more information regarding track repairs and start up dates.
Thank-you for your understanding,
Mission Raceway Park Management
With their specific use of the word "race", I can see a few different interpretations and different degrees of how much of the track is affected. So let's not jump to any pre-mature conclusions, and I hope we'll have more information regarding the situation when we come back from Easter.

if it is cancelled - maybe we can group together for a vcmc day at the ridge
Just got word from SCCBC that the Mission road course remains unaffected by the surface issues that their announcement was referring to. So the VCMC Mission track day on Sun, April 26 is still a go.
Nevertheless, I'm sorry to hear that their race season is affected by this surface woes. IIRC, a similar situation occurred last year, but I don't remember the details all that well. I hope their issue will get resolved sooner rather than later...
Just bought Hawk HP+ pads front and rear, fresh Centric premium cryo rotors front and rear, Motul RBF600, and booked hotels for ORP May 31. Anyone else going? Fucking stoked to try it again on fresh 275's, and the Koni Yellow setup. Last year I was on destroyed 255's and stock suspension. Should be a DRAMATIC change!

Jelly. I want to try ORP but think I might do Laguna seca later this year to fulfil my childhood gran turismo dreams later this year. That will kill the budget and time off available for long distance track endeavours. I have to keep the other days to Washington and mission.
