It was definitely a combination, but easier to blame the car than just letting everyone know that I'm a fat old married guy that gets sunburnt in less time than a lap takes.

Thought I'd share with you guys some footage from the last race I was in on Sunday.
You ride along with Derek Wang, I'm in the Nico suit. Unfortunately just after taking the lead I put two wheels off, my motor shifts, and the chain comes off.
It was a great day of racing with a field of 26 karts in the LO206 class.
As I have probably mentioned here in this thread before, VCMC will be hosting an HPDE / lapping day at Pacific Raceways on Fri, Sept 4. This is the Friday leading up to the Labour Day long weekend, so it'll be a perfect way to get a jump on an extended 4-day break.
Additionally, I want to include a short instructional video that I took a few years ago when ProFormance Racing School's President and Chief Instructor, Don Kitch Jr., guided me through the driving line at Pacific Raceways. For those who have never been to Pacific Raceways, and especially for those who plan on joining VCMC on Fri, Sept 4, I strongly recommend you to review this video multiple times to study the textbook line and learn from Don's wisdom and experience.
Anyone going to Mission on the 29th, or ORP on August 16th?
How about Mission on August 14th?!

Hmmm... I'd love to do 3 more track days but my only concern is I don't have enough brakes for three days, especially with two at Mission. I just picked up another set of pads, but those will be good for the 29th, and ORP on the 16th. Oh well.

I've got my holidays approved, hotel booked, track fees paid for.
Now I am waiting for a single part and my Shitvic should be ready.
I am going to do the VCMC Friday PR event and the Turn 2 Saturday event at the Ridge.

If I ever had anything negative to say about a V6 automatic Mustang it looks like I've put my foot in my mouth. Yer car is fast s0n! I almost thought the video was sped up. Haha!

I got a chance to autoX a newer V6 stang like dared3vil0's and I had an older convertible as a rental car so I know what you mean.
Even the older 302's with a T5 tranny is slow compared to these newer ones.
Someone posted a video on FB of a GT350R.

Just signed up for Pacific Raceways. Hope to see some of you there
SumAznGuy/Traum, what hotel are you guys staying at? Current plan is to drive early in the morning but I think I should probably stay overnight on Thursday lol
I've got the week off from work so we are heading down Thursday morning and we are staying in Lacey, which is 1 hr sourth of PR.
Personally, I wouldn't stay in Kent. Think of Washington's version of Surrey.
Plus it is the weekend going into Labour Day so you better start looking now for hotels.
I lucked out and got Lacey for $100 USD a night.

When I went to PR, I'd stay in Auburn - a brisk 15 min drive to PR in the morning.. and they have a mexican place i'd always go to after the day was done
