It Murica.

You can walk into a Walmart and pickup a 6 pack of guns.
I think they stock them next to the 302's and T5 transmissions. :fuckyea:

Auburn probably couldn't really be any worse than Surrey has been lately. :troll: :lol

Spoiler!

Had totally forgot about this video my buddy made from a day of testing at mission, thought you guys might enjoy it.

This was the 1st time the Jetta was driven in anger, it had some issues to sort out but a 1:16.0 was a damn good start!

Noran, it's time to take your mom's Jetta to Mission.

Noran 08-10-2015 11:00 PM

dared3vil0 08-12-2015 09:26 AM

Soooo will I see anyone at ORP this sunday?

trollguy 08-12-2015 09:37 AM

wow.. you really love that long ass drive dont you :lol

but jealous.. cause i love that track

Traum 08-12-2015 09:51 AM

I have never been to ORP, but from the videos that I've seen, it definitely seems like something I want to try.

The biggest problem is, for me at least, I think I'd pretty much need to make any ORP visit a 3 day trip -- 7 or 8 hours to drive down (with breaks and meals in between), 1 day for the lapping, and then another day to haul my butt back home. The time and monetary aspects make it far less appealing compared to a day at Pacific Raceways or the Ridge.

But you know, it is definitely something on my to-do list. I just have to plan the whole thing out well enough that an ORP day fit into a longer US vacation.

trollguy 08-12-2015 10:33 AM

definitely a 3 day trip... we stayed in portland after the trac kday..

dared3vil0 08-12-2015 10:46 AM

Yeah it's always a three day trip but ORP is awesome so it's worth it.

SumAznGuy 08-14-2015 12:59 PM

Woohoo. Purple crack 225/45/13 R6's are on clearance. $125 USD per tire.
I ordered 8 of them.
Gonna pick them up on my way down to Kent for the Sept 4 VCMC track day.

https://www.hoosiertire.com/discontinuedtires.htm

They have other sizes, but not in 15's. R6's are the track compound and A6's are the autoX compound.

dared3vil0 08-14-2015 01:03 PM

325/710/18... that means it's a 325mm wide, 710mm diamteter onto an 18" wheel?

If so, i'm about to order a bunch of Continental/Hooiser slicks. :D:D:D:D:D

SumAznGuy 08-14-2015 01:06 PM

where do you see this?

dared3vil0 08-14-2015 01:14 PM

Follow the link you posted, click begin shopping, scroll down to second tire to bottom of page.

SumAznGuy 08-14-2015 01:24 PM

Gotcha.

From their site, 310/710/18 has a 28.2" diameter. A 345/30/18 tire has a 26.8 diameter.
So that is a tall tire.

Also, better PM Trollguy. I know he had a set of "Continental" tires before.

dared3vil0 08-14-2015 01:45 PM

Will do. Not good tires?

Sorry, not what I meant.
I don't have any experience with the "Continental" race tires.
A 28.2 inch diameter tire is really tall and may not fit under the fenders of your car.
My civic runs a 22.8-23 inch tire, my 13's are 21 inch in diameter to give you a reference.
I am guessing your Mustang runs a 26.8 diameter tire, so add almost an inch and a half to the top of the tire.

Yup, that's a tall tire.

trollguy 08-14-2015 02:54 PM

definitely had a set.... then it was toast and made its way onto FFDs' demo wheels

the conti's were just harder R6s. the particular set was a 'take off', meaning race teams in the conti race series used them either for practice, qualifying or whatever and just dumped them after a few sessions. so the life will vary.. i did thoroughly enjoy them for the first few sessions i used it. a set of 275/35/18s can be had for $400-500 USD shipped FYI.

Yup, that's a tall tire.

For my Mustang a 28" tire is actually what came factory. From my research I can fit the tire under stock fenders with a custom 18x11 Forgestar wheel...

I'd really like a 27" conti slick in like a 275-305, does anyone have a line on that?
