Your driving looks good! Everything looks much better than the laps you did last time.
Curious which group/organizer you went with? Interesting to see you were signed off to drive solo already. But then again, I'm in a very strict, regimented program. Gonna be a while before I can get signed off for solo.
Forgot to post - so I went out to a Mission HPDE day back a couple of weeks ago with the Allroad and it went fairly well I would say. I definitely took it easy and was going 8/10ths at the most, as it had been a long time since I was at Mission and this is my only/daily car as well, haha.
The fat wagon did a lot better than I thought it would, considering it was not an "S" model nor did it have any mods. Brakes held up just fine - a lot better than I would've thought, and I only had one semi-scary moment of brake fade which was at the open lapping at the end of the day. The pedal got a bit soft after 4 continuous laps, so I cooled them off and they recovered okay. Otherwise, during the 3-lap sessions they were strong and didn't fade at all. I could keep up with the other cars in my novice run group fine on the straights but I was getting left in the corners, which I expected.
It was a lot of fun, I'm not sure I'd bring the wagon out again just because it was clearly not the right car for the track. Maybe if it was a bigger/longer track rather than the tight confines of Mission.

I went with the guys over at OverDrive Auto Tuning! This was my 3rd time at Mission, the first 2 times i went with Garage5 x Velocity AutoSports.
I was already signed off to solo during my 2nd time, but I still asked for an instructor to come with my for a session or two since I already paid for them
Mark - is that your dedicated track toy? If so, are you storing this off site and trailering it to the track or do you have a shop trailer it out for you including track day support?

Definitely his dedicated track/hillclimb toy. He stores it at his house and trailers out. Track support is friends or wife :P
Sorry to answer for him, I'm often part of the track support.
I have a normal residential 20x20 garage where the car lives and the trailer lives off site, though we are going to redo the side yard to park the trailer there - it's only 7x18, nothing crazy.
My whole rig 3500lbs loaded, easily towed by my V8 Jeep.

Had my first spin out at CTMP on Turn 2 going in to Turn 2A carrying too much speed and not applying the brakes to shift the weight before the top of the hill going in to turn 2. Needless to say, my street tires are pretty much toast and aren't holding up.
Ironically, I got bumped up into a higher run group. What were they thinking?
I'll be swapping on my wheelset with the Hankook Ventus RS4 in October.
Looking forward to trying them out later in October. Weather should be cooler and perhaps more ideal track conditions.
It was hot like hell this past Saturday and it rained on Sunday leaving room for driving the rain line and cooling down the track surface throughout the day. Driving home from Bowmanville to Mississauga, when I got home, the tires were hot AF and everything stuck to it.
Yep! I'll see you there. Come by and say hi. It'll be two civic type R's (red and white) + two 8th gen civic Si's (technically one is a CSX-S, blue and silver)
