Westopher, what size tire is that, on what width rim?

245 on a 9. Its not really stretched per say, but the lip is left exposed slightly. Its stretched now that the lip is half inch out from the bead though lol.

That's not stretched, i was expecting like a 225 haha.

I run a 255 on a 9" wheel, and the BFG's i have run smaller than average, where as your PSS run larger than average... Makes me worry about a bent wheel now LOL.

I hit a hole that I knew was there. I tractor beamed myself. Stared right at it, so of course drove right into it. Nothing to worry about. My stretched tires days are behind me. I like other peoples cars to be slammed with stretched tires just not mine now.

Don't sign up for Group A (open passing left/right) if you can't even check your mirrors or know when a car is running faster then you that is behind you. Might as well stay in Group B.

That's my dad, thanks for the heads up though. He was tunnel visioning from struggling with front diff trouble all day but that's no excuse for not letting you by, I'll let him know. You're considerably calmer than me in the same position haha

There is also a hole right after the curb on turn 10 if you are too far on the curb

Whoops I just realized it's not my dad driving, it's actually the silver GT3 owner who is his good friend. My dad wanted to take pics of his car and asked me to drive it, I said it was too gnarly and didn't want to embarrass myself so he got his friend to take it out and try out the new alignment to compare. I realized this cause I recognize the red glove and my dad always drives bare-handed

I'll probably get flamed for this but after looking through pretty much all the videos I've noticed that people seem to get pretty fired up when they encounter traffic due to a driver not letting them pass. Now I haven't been out there and from the looks of it most of you guys know the tracks and/or your vehicle well but while there were certainly instances for drivers to let others pass, I'm surprised at how aggressive the driving can get at times. A couple times I thought to myself, "If the guy infront only loses it for a second he looks to be following too close to react in time."

It must get really frustrating with the adrenaline going and someone slowing you down/killing your rhythm. Does this happen to you guys every session out or maybe just the arbitrary once or twice for the day? Also, why not just back off a little and let them get some distance so you can avoid something happening. Would slowing down smoothly to create some space create a risk for drivers behind you?

I look at the videos and the first thing that comes to mind is the ego of the driver in front being bruised because they don't want to see their "superior" car overtaken. I can understand the "David vs Goliath" aspect of the hunt and that correct track etiquette is they are supposed to let you pass but is it worth something bad happening pushing it like that?

I'm not saying you guys can't handle yor stories, for all I know people were driving at 7-8/10s their limit. I lack experience and don't know my car or the tracks so my gauge of the speed may be completely off. Everything I saw was really impressive and looks way faster than I have the balls to push my car.

you are right R muff.sometimes if you see a big group of cars infront of you. my instructor sugguest to go into the pit. or as you mention slow down to create a gap

organizers discourage tailing, etc for that reason alone.. however, with the more experienced drivers, i think i can speak for most of them when i say that theyare okay with people tailing and they won't lose their composure and just give a point by..

which is the biggest difference with newbies- when you tail them, they will really overdrive and they're all over the track...

BUT.. i still enjoy getting as close as possible so that my friends sideview mirror is full of my car. :lol

cant say for all drivers, but most of us that are posting here we may get in the heat of the moment by: swearing, giving the finger, tailing etc

but we arent actually taking it seriously to the heart, its just the heat of the moment

mind you the video you were watching was in Group A - meaning anywhere can be a passing zone so long theres a point by

in the other videos (mine + boatcaptain + ilvtofu) where we are in Groups B and C - there are only certain passing zones you will see that we do almost the same but there is actually a lot more room than you see in the videos

From a higher angle it doesn't look as aggressive, my car has a very upright seating position so you can see the distance between yourself and the car in front of you pretty clearly.

I just found this other video on my other phone which is more indicative of a typical C-group session, people waving each other by in the passing zones and not so much tailgating
