Is there a good place to get cases? Not sure I can wait on Amazon's shipping too long

I think my friend is paying something like that in HK. When I told him I paying rougnly $350 HK Dollard for a 2 GB PLAN IN Canada he was shock lol.

csl

seems like ppl in HK have cheaper plans than we do.

Hondaracer 09-22-2014 05:16 PM

T mobile offers $55 unlimited everything in their comerciald in the states

However AT&T is offering a "shared" plan much like rogers sharing 10GB of data and unlimited everything else starting at $120 with $35 for extra phones. So thays pretty similar to up here

It's even cheaper if you don't get a "free" phone.

The River Rock nightmarket had some cases on the weekend. I'd expect a lot more booths with iPhone 6 accessories this weekend

Dudes: GET A FUCKING CASE for your iPhone6.

My screen lasted exactly 25 hours, at which point I dropped it from ~2 feet onto concrete and the screen shattered quite badly.

I've dropped my iPhone4 and 5s literally hundreds of times in similar conditions, with no case, and never had the screen shatter on me. Maybe it's luck, but I'm inclined to believe the drop tests were 100% legit and the 6/6+ screen cracks very easily.

Am I a retard for not using a case and dropping my brand new $1000 phone? Yes, but maybe my idiocy will encourage you to get a good case before you end up doing what I did.

I am now awaiting repairs, and a case that I bought online.... :failed:

I pretty much forced my gf to get AppleCare+

She's so clumsy and always drops her phone or breaks the cable. $99 + $79 deductible for accidental damage isn't bad.

If that's true, then you should be using a case on everything you use, no matter what

I've dropped my phones maybe 4 or 5 times in the last decade or so... I know people who drop them all the time... Just use a case if you are that clumsy! :concentrate:

U might be able to cheat the system n still buy applecare through callin them instead of goin into an applestore for a physical check. Theyll need u to run some remote dianostic but i dont think theyll have a way to check for cracked screen. YMMV

Same here... until this one time I forgot that I put it on my lap when in the passenger seat and when I exited it fell straight to the concrete and shattered :(

I got a case on my iPhone just in case...

Hondaracer 09-22-2014 09:42 PM

Don't you have applecare automatically for the first year?

If not then how does it work? Cause I haven't really found much solid info on the site

Does the apple care+ cover broken screens?

Never broke a screen before but this 6 feels like it just wants to fall out of my hand without a case

Ch28 09-22-2014 09:46 PM

I believe AppleCare+ also covers 2 'accidental damage' claims. You pay the $79 fee (on top of the cost of purchasing AppleCare+) and they'll either replace the phone or fix it for you. Accidental damage claim would cover things such as broken screen, water damage etc.

Regular AppleCare is just their fancy term for warranty.

Went to the apple store to finally look and feel a new iphone 6 and 6+ in person today, and is it just me or do the phones not feel as well built as previous generations? feels really flimsy and easily broken to me..

Speaking of that ...

iPhone 6 Plus slightly bent after 2 days - MacRumors Forums

EmperorIS 09-22-2014 10:13 PM

Anyone else experiencing battery life drain with the iphone 6?

Nabatron 09-22-2014 10:21 PM

I would say my battery life is way better then my iphone5 one but anything was better then that! Still waiting one the day Apple figures out a way to make longer lasting battery life!

Gululu 09-22-2014 10:39 PM

I believe the iPhone 6's quality is not as good as previous generations. Apple is short of stock on iPhone 6s to increase productivity Foxconn hired over 100k new workers over a span of 3 days to meet deadlines.
