Went to the apple store today to check out the phones. Not sure if its cause they are all demo models, but most of the phones(mainly 6+'s) had a noticeable small gap at the top between the metal frame and the screen. To a point where you could press on the top of the screen and the gap disappears, release it and it springs back up.

Nothing for reservations again..

highfive 09-22-2014 11:05 PM

wow..was about to reserve the gold 64gb iphone 6 and when i clicked next, it said it cannot be done and now I'm back on the original page and it shows unavailable.

Ch28 09-22-2014 11:05 PM

So frustrating that the only colour I keep seeing get restocked for 64GB is the space grey.

Same thing happened to me.

Page said it was unavailable and it forced me to have to re-login with the stupid captcha pic when I tried to go back in

Cassijon 09-22-2014 11:07 PM

got a reservation for tomorrow at richmond center for 6+ 64GB but only in space grey. fackkkk.

anyone got a 64gb silver 6+ that wants to trade? lol

after seeing the 'build" of the phone, still debating whether i want it or not, but if i decide against it, i can def meet someone there tomorrow.

DHP 1 09-22-2014 11:08 PM

how long does the iphone 6 4.7 battery last?

i mean 1800 mah on 4.7" screen with 64 bit..how would it perform?

im constantly on the phone and im currently using the samsung S4 with a new battery, each charge only lasts me 8-10 hours
this is base on a 32bit 2600 mah battery, much bigger than I6
:suspicious:

My screen lasted exactly 25 hours, at which point I dropped it from ~2 feet onto concrete and the screen shattered quite badly.

I've dropped my iPhone4 and 5s literally hundreds of times in similar conditions, with no case, and never had the screen shatter on me. Maybe it's luck, but I'm inclined to believe the drop tests were 100% legit and the 6/6+ screen cracks very easily.

Am I a retard for not using a case and dropping my brand new $1000 phone? Yes, but maybe my idiocy will encourage you to get a good case before you end up doing what I did.

I am now awaiting repairs, and a case that I bought online.... :failed:

AppleCare+ for iPhone ($99) extends your coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a $79 service fee plus applicable tax.

How to get AppleCare+

Buy it within 60 days of your iPhone purchase. Your iPhone purchase date is the date we ship and charge you for your order:

By calling (800) 263-3394 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

Might be worth it to give it a shot. You'll be out $178 ($99 + $79) but it'll mean you still have one more accidental damage covered under AppleCare+ that you can use in the future if you need it.

Found a iPhone 6 64GB but on contract only. Has anyone successfully went in and just bought the phone outright even when reserving with a contract?

If not then how does it work? Cause I haven't really found much solid info on the site

Does the apple care+ cover broken screens?

Never broke a screen before but this 6 feels like it just wants to fall out of my hand without a case

applecare is basically extra insurance for ur devices, u pay $99 for applecare, and $79 deductible each time u have an accidental/self inflicted damage up to a max of 2 coverage. think of it as ur comprehensive coverage for ur car, same idea

Can confirm it works. I picked up 2 6's this morning after making a reservation for a contract only phone. While in the reservation line I was asked if I was there to get a phone with contract or outright. I said outright and that was that..

Which location?
Some are pretty slack. While others...like Oakridge would be anal about it.

That's exactly what I did. Was planning on doing a HUP with Rogers but they wouldn't help me out with the fee or my plan so I just bought the phone outright even if I reserved for a contract. I then switched to Wind. Screw Rogers.

That doesn't make sense.

Customer could've reserved it with the intentions of doing a HUP and then decided to just purchase it outright because all the companies are gouging you for a required $80 min plan

Gucci Mane 09-22-2014 11:59 PM

I picked up the phones at Pacific centre

MDMA 09-23-2014 12:34 AM

So glad i reserved back on the 12th at midnight, walked into the reservation line at Richmond Centre the day of release, waited in line maybe 10 mins at most and was out of the store in 20 mins flat, White/Silver 64gb iPhone 6. Overall im very happy with the phone so far. Highly recommend everyone do this the next time you are expecting to pick up the phone opening day, why people wait overnight in lines when you can reserve and pick up is truly beyond me.

Now the reservation system page doesn't load anything after you choose the colour of the phone. I get the loading wheel for 10 seconds and then a "We're sorry" message comes up top

So frustrating
