If you go to the Apple Support Forums for the iPhone 6 there are five threads regarding bending. Combined there are 2 people reporting this issue and the rest are just general questions (total of less than 20 posts in all threads). Meanwhile there are threads on issues like iOS 8 battery life, Wifi or BT that have hundreds of posts and tens of thousands of views. How come these people knew to post in Apple Support about their issues, but the "huge" number of people with bent phones can't seem to locate Apple Support? Comparing the number of bent phones to the millions sold tells you all you need to know. If 1,000 people have bent phones that's only 1 in 10,000 devices. Hardly an epidemic. It's more likely there's 1 really stupid person in 10,000 people who did something dumb with their phone to bend it then some sort of design flaw with the phone itself. Even the 5/5S had NUMEROUS reports of bending issues. Yet it didn't get nearly the press that the 6+ is getting. I find that quite hilarious. |
Back pocket Tighter fitting pants Sit down Bent iPhone 6 I'm glad I did not rush out to get one tho. I will wait and see how all these issues are addressed before I switch up the the 6+. |
picked up my 64GB 6+ in SG yesterday at RC. was going to sell it but instead kept it and used HUP with rogers as the retentions agent gave me a nice deal. $150 credit on the phone, so $334 instead of $484 $100 shareable plan for 8GB, unl calling and visual VM pack + $50 for any additional device. went to RC 1.5 hour ahead of my scheduled pick up time, and since everyone else in line was picking up device only and i was the only one upgrading they took me in right away ahead of everyone else... whole process took about 20 mins. easy peasy! love the phone. nice upgrade from my ip5. |

HK prices pretty much tumbled overnight  |
If you're putting your + or even the regular 6 In your back pocket.. :S You could put a sheet of 1/8" steel in your back pocket and if you sat on it it would bend. |

Like the first guy to report about his bent iPhone. Drove 4 hours to a wedding with it in his pocket. Kept the phone is his pocket all day at the wedding for a total of 18 hours (his claim). I find it hard to believe you went to a wedding with your brand new iPhone 6+ and didn't use it all day snapping pics and videos. Nah, I'll just keep it in my pocket and sit on it all day long. I was at a friends wedding three weeks ago and EVERY SINGLE PERSON there had their phone out taking pictures. When they weren't taking pictures their phones were on the table. I call 100% BS on this guys story (not the bent iPhone part, but what he claims he did with it all day). I think he did something stupid, didn't want to own up to it and fabricated his entire story so he could get warranty. |
Can someone with a 6 or 6 plus test their wireless hotspot to see if it's working? Preferably someone who is on Rogers with a 6 gig share plan. I received an email today that my tether access was disabled but on their end they said it looks fine... |
^^ maybe I got lucky. Who knows but I always keep my phones in the front pocket(why put it in the back pocket when people can easily steal it or what if you farted......). I also don't wear skinny jeans. Updated my 5s to Ios8 and notice the battery drains a lot faster.......... |
iOS 8.0.1 is out...lol |
dont wear skinny jeans........its god punishing hipster fags, and i am all for it! |

OTA update for 8.0.1 messes up 6 and 6+ Do the update via Itunes and everything works fine, one friend is on Bell and two others are on Rogers they all did it via Itunes not OTA. |

Every time I hear people aimlessly bashing iPhones, especially about how iPhones are poorly designed crap made in Chinese village sweat shops, and how expensive they are, I laugh. Apple has just under 615B market cap and give or take 150B in cash. Apple has some of the brightest execs and designers in the world, including the brilliant and recently acquired Marc Newson. Meanwhile Samsung is still stuck in the plastic era, and the rest of the world stuck with low ppi 720p phones. Y'all can keep your Chinese OnePlus One (mind you, people were bitching so hard about Chinese phones like Xiaomi, ZTE, and Huawei for the longest time) because clearly some clever marketing, penetration pricing, and flagship specs is what Android fanboys are all about. I have absolutely nothing against Android, I actually love certain Android phones like Sony's Xperia line and LG's new G3, but sometimes I just feel like Android fanboys have turned into what Apple fanboys were like a few years back. As for the 6 Plus bending, the 5s bended as well, as well as the 5. What I don't understand is how people manage to bend these phones. Unless your thighs are made of steel and are hella curvy, I wear skinny jeans and I keep my 5s in my front pocket all the time, I have never bent my phone, I also have hockey thighs. Also, the only customers that ever came in with bent phones that I've had to deal with were young ladies, presumably keeping their phones in their back pockets so...I don't know what you guys are doing if you manage to bend your phone. And in the rare case that you actually somehow do manage to bend your phone anytime within one year, bring it to any Apple Store anywhere in the world and get it instantly swapped out, or with AppleCare+, anytime within 2 years. What happens when you break your Android phone? Have fun dealing with an online customer service rep who really couldn't care less with your RMA process. Services > specs /rant |

our old plans combined - $156 New Plan $150. we save $6 per month over 2 years, + got a $150 credit on the new phone.. wasn't gonna leave rogers anyways, since i cant really find a better plan elsewhere, so i think i made out ahead with this. |

Whether the bending problem is legit or not, maybe they can stop with the "it's even thinner" bullshit and start trying to do better at other things. When the lens protrudes out of the phone I'd say it's thin enough. |
Am I the only person here who doesn't actually care how thin or thick a phone is? I've got a Mophie battery case on my 5s and I could care less how thin it is. With that thing on, my phone is thicker than my old Sony Ericsson phone, but I could care less because it feels so much better to hold. My phone is rarely in my pocket anyway lol |
