That's what you get when most ppl who bought the iphones are flipping it. Is bound to happen when you see c-lais trying to get people to sell them their Iphones in front of Apple to make a profit.

I was in HK during launch and it was crazy lol. I laugh at all those people who fight their way in just to play with the phone.

Asked a mainlander who was buying two gold iPhones how much he was going to resell them for, guy looked at me like I just offended his entire family :lawl:

Apparently people in mainland China are willing to pay at least $2,500 for a 16GB gold iPhone 6.

No wonder the first 30 people or so in line at every single BC Apple Store were middle-aged or elderly c-lais

PC had quite a few homeless people in line for what pretty much looked like a Chinese gang that ended up coming and paying the homeless in wads of cash :heckno:

Unless apple makes one right?

And who cares if the back of a phone is glossy? It's a god dam phone!!

mr_chin 09-24-2014 12:42 PM

Wait, so now people want metal build because it feels better in the hand and the glossy look? Not because it's durable and doesn't break easily?

Sometimes, I honestly think people say these things just because they're so in love with Apple products.

Here is durability for you, screen cracked without even dropping it.

If you're gonna buy, get the 6 and not the 6 plus. Apple is obviously still experimenting with bigger sized phones (it's a fact that you should never buy the first year of a new generation product)

Hondaracer 09-24-2014 01:40 PM

I've Bought the first year of the last 4 generations of phones

3/4/5/6

All in the first month of release. Never once have I had an issue with having a phone that broke completely, stopped working, or experienced problems that Apple didn't resolve with a new device.

That's the main reason I continue going with Apple and a reason people echoed on the last page. Apples service is Unparalleled. If there are problems with the initial hardware I receive I will have a new device from a newer lot of devices before long that will not experience the oroblrms the first batch did, all at no cost to me.

Well it does cost $900. Also service is not so great if you don't live near an Apple store.

Just putting it out there, I very much dislike the 5c. The majority of people I work with also dislike the 5c.

It's an entry-level phone (same specs as the 5) for those who simply want a no-frills iOS experience, not for people who care about hardware or performance.

With the phone bent that way, what are the options for trying to bend it back? By putting all the pressure and pushing down on the screen. The phone doesn't have one of those flexible screens those korean manufacturers are bragging about. You'd have to be decently skilled to do it without applying a lot of pressure on the screen.

Actually if you don't live near the apple store they send one out to you. A friend of mine lives up in Kelowna because his button wasn't working properly and he had apple care he called them and they sent him a replacement phone. He put his old one back in the box and UPS picked it up from his place. Personally I think that's pretty good.

Now that is a proper way to conduct tests. It's just too bad they didn't do it with more phones, especially other phones with aluminum cases/bands (like the HTC One or Galaxy Alpha). Although this could get expensive.

Tegra_Devil 09-24-2014 07:29 PM

can you only get apple care if you get your phone through an apple store?

or can you get it if you go through a bell store?

If you go threw Rogers they will send you to a local store. My Dads Iphone 5 was having problems so they sent him to a local store. The store has a huge Rogers sign on the front but is not owned by rogers but cell time communications. He dropped off his phone and they have him a old Nokia flip phone as loaner phone.

Yeah it's much smarter to get something that is less durable for the sake of "style". Even better when you cover it with a plastic case anyway :concentrate:

I never said I disliked plastic, I said I disliked glossy plastic, doesn't matter what phone it's on including the iPhone 5c.

I have nothing against plastic that tries hard not to look like plastic, like the LG G3.

To answer the question above regarding AppleCare+, it can only be purchased in store. Your phone must be examined for any kind of damage before applying AppleCare+ as it cannot be applied to already damaged phones.

yes, that is because for some stupid reason you decided to through rogers.. contact apple and only apple and you will get another phone. its actually that simple. if its for a common issue, like the home button or sleep/wake issue with the iphone 5, they will replace the device. again, do not ever go through rogers for an apple device.

Looking to buy an i6+ off CL

I know that people that are selling their carrier locked phones can simply call in and say their phone was lost/stolen and the IMEI would be blocked. Does such a thing like that exist if the person bought the phones contract free from Apple?

wtf...you serious?

I can understand that from a carrier locked phone, but Apple has access to the IMEI blacklist as well?
