I'm deciding to buy an iPhone6 or 5S. Are the issues with "Bending" blown out of proportion, etc.?

non issue with the 6. the 6plus can bend if you exert enough force at a certain point on the phone.

If you're worried about bending, get a fanny pack. Actually i would recommend something like this for any phablet.

Gmail update is out on iTunes

No more senior sized fonts anymore :toot:

Pop keys is out. Unfortunately only really works with iMessage since it allows the viewing of gifs right in the chat.

I hope other msging apps can implement it too.

Hondaracer 10-06-2014 03:56 PM

In regular imessage you can send/see gifs?

TMT 10-06-2014 04:06 PM

Anyone know any retailers who have the iPhone 6 plus available?
Phone broke need one ASAP

Yup. It just loops automatically in the chat window. Don't need to press play or anything. Would be nice to see this extended to all apps

Where did the whole "guys shouldn't be able to use bags" thing come from anyway?

Not against it. But it seems rather silly to have to carry a bag so you can carry your phone. I put my phone in my back pocket all the time, and none of them have ever bent. Mind you, I am mindful of my phone back there so I don't just sit down without thinking. Also don't have an answer for your question.

Try that with an iphone 6+ though, and you'll have a bent phone... It kind of makes sense to have a bag of some sort, allowing you to carry things like phones/tablets/phablets and anything else you might need

I just wonder why there's such a stigma attached to men carrying bags... Backpacks sure, you look like a retard, but normal bags/satchels/fanny packs/etc... I don't get it

Get the iphone6. The 4.7 inch screen size is prefect. Although I wish it was a 1080p display.

I would say that it is blown out of proportion. I have the regular iPhone 6 and don't really carry it in my pocket and it has slightly bent unfortunately. With that being said I also know several people with iPhone 6's and 6 plus's that have had zero bending despite putting it in tight jeans, etc, etc!

Tegra_Devil 10-06-2014 08:58 PM

I only carry my phone in my pocket....not bent in the slightest(regular IP6)

Iceman_2K 10-06-2014 10:03 PM

I don't know about you, but MacGuyver and Jack Bauer both carry bags.....and Everyday Carry is EDC is a great website.

not a big deal imo.. its still a pretty damn good display.

Just recently I have noticed an issue with my 6 Plus. It's not bend however it is a little twisted. For instance, I put the phone face down on a perfectly flat surface and the upper left corner + lower right corner would wobble up & down as i lightly tap the phone from the back. I never kept it in my pockets. so I dont know what happened. No issues with my 6 though. Does anyone share a similar issue on their 6 Plus? It's past the return window, I'm wondering if i should get it exchanged. But it's not a big issue. Other than that I love my unlocked gold 6 plus. The bigger screen size is perfect. I find myself using the 6 Plus way more than my 6.
