We both have iPhones if that helps and its 6 mins behind

Maybe it's the discrepancy between iMessage and text? Although both show up as iMessages

If both iPhones messages have blue backgrounds when sent, that's iMessage all the way. Green would be a text.

If your phone's time is different from your network, this should be happening with all your sms/messages. Is it?

If your phone's time is OK, and both messages are blue, it's an probably iMessage issue. Your carrier won't have any way to see the messages, they'll just see it as data traffic, so they aren't able to help. If your time is OK, and one of the messages is blue and the other green, it may be difference between the carrier time and Apple's time? But, that doesn't seem to make sense either, if every network had non sync'd up time, it'd be a mess.

You might try just deleting the whole conversation thread if its just the one person, and reboot holding the Home and Power buttons at the same time.

Sometimes the phones just glitch up for no reason.

Does everyone's iPhone 6+ take awhile to recharge?

stock chargers r weak, use either an ipad 10W charger which puts out i think 1A or any aftermarket charger that puts out 1+Amps. In fact i dont think i've used the stock iphone charger since the iphone 4.

Get this to charge at home:
Amazon.com: AnkerŪ 20W 2-Port USB Wall Charger with Foldable Plug and PowerIQ Technology for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Nexus, HTC, Motorola, LG and More (White): Cell Phones & Accessories

Get this to charge in the car:
http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Samsun...er+car+charger

The Liger car charger above is about the size of your thumb and charges the phone extremely quickly.

Plug it into newer Macs' USB port, an iPad charger or any 2.1A+ charger that ACTUALLY delivers close to its claim. iPhone6 and 6+ are the first iPhones that support 2A charging.

I use my s5 adapter and it's still slow. 5% in 30 mins or so lol

All messages show up as iMessage

And network time should be same as iPhone time since it's hooked up to the network.

The problem still persists from the conversations we had today, but she says hers shows up fine.

I'll try rebooting it and see if it continues

What's the output of the S5 adapter?

Do you have an iPad adapter? if so, try that to see if it improves. If not, I'd take the phone to apple.

Because when plugged onto my MBP, I can get from low 20th to 100% within 2hour give or take a few minutes. That's on a iPhone6+ with rMBP 2014

Armind 12-10-2014 08:14 PM

About 10 Watts. I just plugged it in on another wall and got like 3% in about 7 mins? Draining my battery now and see how long for full charge.

Not wattage. Amperage... it should say something like 110v 15watt 1.5A... what does the number in front of "A" say?

Armind 12-10-2014 09:01 PM

2.0

30 mins 10% so far.. wtf.

Something is wrong. Either the charger, cable or the phone.

From some quick research online, the S5 charger gives around 1.7amp@5.6v. Meaning that at fully depleted iphone 6+ battery of 2900mah, the iphone 6+ should be fully charged within 2hr if not faster.

Did you leave the screen on or anything that eats battery life while charging?

Nope, didn't touch my phone at all.

Gonna see if I have time during lunch to go exchange for a new one. Already installed a screen protector too :fuuuuu:

So I'm leaving Rogers and scoring a 128gb gold 6 for $165 + tax tomorrow. Can't fricken wait since I have a 5 and it's almost 100% full

skholla 12-16-2014 09:43 PM

Sweet deal. What carrier, what plan though?? With all the current rape rates it's all about the plan, not the handset price.

I agree and I went from Rogers to Bell.. My last deal with Rogers was $77 a month but that was still a 3 year contract pricing, if I was to upgrade it would be $95 a month 6gb data, 500 anytime minutes, free evenings and weekends..

With bell its 4gb data, unlimited Canada wide calling and texting for $110 a month. A bit more money but for my phone ended up costing $155 with tax and she gave me a free otter box case and wireless Bluetooth speaker I'm pretty happy with it.

Hondaracer 12-18-2014 07:52 AM

So the Bluetooth speaker and otterbox basically cost you $360 over two years with less data.

GF's cousin used my shared plan as a bench mark and manages to get 6gb data, unlimited Canada wide everything for $90 a month..wtf basically better than my "shared plan" and she has only the one line...

murd0c 12-18-2014 08:11 AM

I use 3gb of data a month but the way I look at things is the phone basically cost me the $360 but with me selling my mint condition 64gb 5 it will make it all even in the long run. I just needed the 128 since my old phone was already full.
