You can release the iPhone from your iCloud by going to iCloud.com on a computer

I did already when I sold the phone I already turn off find myiphone and remove that iphone from my itune acct.

This is what he saids "I bought a phone from u in january. Actually by mistake i locked my icloud and apple need original receipt to reset it. Pls help me in this matter, otherwise i cant use my phone."

So it just seems he did something stupid on the phone. I am pretty sure Apple can reset for him with no issue so I have no idea why is it so hard for him to get it fix. I don't know I give him some advice but honestly I held my end the phone is in working condition he screw up and wants me to help.....

Edit I just look at my iclould.com and I only have my ipad.

I already lost the receipt. The phone is no longer on my itunes acct. When I sold it I remove it form my itune acct and disable Findmyphone and did a hard reset.

Sounds like the dude is locked out his Apple ID and the device for whatever reason was reset. Apple can bypass the activation lock in store with proof of ownership. In the case of the second hand iPhone I don't know how this is possible. Dude might have better luck calling Apple and trying to verify and reset Apple ID.

Whenever I make a phone call, the volume is really low. It's not inaudible, but still. I've maxed the volume and no change. Any help on this?

TOPEC 02-09-2015 12:15 AM

^i noticed that too, i also noticed theres literally no background noise during the phone call, i suspect it may have something to do with noise cancelling working too well

uh... No . I pay $27.50/mo for unlimited data/call/text, I dont see a reason to switch.

It was a test to see how fast (or slow) the speeds were on a i6+ with wind sim. normally I would have my rogers corporate sim in it.

I started getting this issue recently too. Went to Apple Store and they said they'll swap a new one for me once I backup everything at home.

2 issues with Mail:

1. no banner notifications - my phone buzzes and nothing pops up so I don't know what's happened
2. no swipe to delete button. I'm on iOS 8 and I didn't have this issues with iOS 7. Is this a new thing and if so how do I change it? Swipe to archive is so useless.

DJ Milk 02-10-2015 07:47 PM

1. Try rebooting your phone and check your mail settings in the notification settings

http://i57.tinypic.com/2d6tgdh.jpg

2. Swipe left to delete. You can go to the settings and you will find this under mail menu and change it

You can disable this in settings -> general -> accessibility -> phone noise cancelation.

I don't see a reason why they would replace the device. If anything they'll replace the screen as its part of the "top" part of the phone. But check that out first. I'd the settings helps that's all you need to do.

I do not have those options. For Notifications, I can only change how many notifications to show in Notification Center. For swipe to delete, I don't have those options to change it to delete by swiping.

I bought 6 over time on eBay for between $0.05-$0.30cdn each with free shipping and all of them works fine and looks just like the original.

TOPEC 03-05-2015 04:46 AM

I have cheapo aftermarket ones too but after using it for some time they all die at some point. They still charge but have to plug n re plug like 15 time for the phone to recognize n start charging. So I'm looking into good quality cables that actually works

RE-Jo 03-05-2015 08:27 AM

Anyone else has the blurry camera issue on their 6 plus? My phone would not focus properly unless the object is 1 ft away from the camera.

I brought it into Apple store, and they replaced the camera module for me. Apparently it is a common issue.

Hondaracer 03-05-2015 11:37 AM

After the latest update my fucking battery lasts like half as long as it did prior

I've tried a bunch of cheap ones from different sources and they all died quickly or have the problem where it would randomly press things on my screen or else if i click somewhere it would register a centimeter away. Guess I don't have much luck with cheap lightning cables, but ymmv as shown by MTV Cribs. Ended up buying a belkin one at bestbuy for like $10 and it has been fine since then, been almost 6 months.

I don't believe the camera is defective in these situations. I believe that these phones that have their cameras sticking out like the iPhone 6 does, often need to be cleaned. Mine gets like this and after a really good cleaning, my pictures look mint.

Your symptoms are very similar to the ones I've had. Hard time focusing, poor lighting in photographs and dull pictures.

I'm getting something to supposedly prevent this from happening. will post results / pics when I get my hands on it!

Do not buy $1 knock off chargers that can potentially damage your $1000 phone.

Buy OEM or mFI certified (apples third-party approval)

Because Apple's charging cables are made of such high quality? They're all shit. I find Apple's cables are less reliable than many 3rd party ones I've purchased.

Dang. IPhone 6 prices went up up
