| Fuel Economy Thread - What Is Your L/100km?
I can't be the only one here that keeps track or tries to calculate their fuel economy.
What is everyone else's fuel economy (L/100km) that they are getting?
How does it compare to manufacturer estimates for fuel economy?
-
With the rising costs of gas prices, I've been trying to fix my old lead-foot habits and attempting to drive slightly slower than I normally do.
I drive a Del Sol Si and I managed to squeeze out 586.4 kms using up 35.473L
Manufacturer suggests 7.59L/100km, and with the last tank I calculated 6.05L/100km - that's just over a 25% increase in fuel economy compared to the estimates!

You drive a del sol and you're worried about fuel economy?
I don't bother looking at "manufacturer estimates" anymore cause I find they're not very accurate.
16-17L / 100 kms for me

Would be better if I didn't drive like an asshole sometimes.
GTI's say 49.9L/100KM when driven properly. Quote:

About 10-11 L/100 km, mostly city driving within Vancouver and Richmond. Mixed between granny driving and boosting around like a moron.
On my drive down to LA, I'd use 5-6 L/100 km.
91 MR2, 2.0 L turbo with slightly built internals and minor bolt ons.

10.9L on EX35
14.8L/15.5MPG on wife's S7. I think it's shockingly bad... but I guess it has something to do with the crappy traffic in Irvine, CA.

Do any of you use a smartphone app to keep track?
