Maybe I'm looking into it a bit much but Getzlaf's reaction to what looks like hearing the hit was something along the lines of "awww fuck why?"
Parise's cheapshot is worse than the actual hit. But the hit was just stupid.
If Kesler's frail body can make it to the playoffs, I can't imagine playing the Ducks having to deal with Perry first, then Kesler coming off the boards next. As mentioned on last night's broadcast, it's the same design as Pacific Coliseum, which the Canucks haven't played in in almost 20 years.
In fact, considering the upgrades Pacific Coliseum got for the Olympics, it's likely a better venue at this point (better refrigeration and HVAC equipment).

Sportsnet provided an injury update on the young fan, whose name is Daniel and whose favorite player is conveniently Henrik Sedin, later in their broadcast. He appears to be no worse for wear, which is excellent news. Consider him day-to-day.
