"I LIKE MY MEN ON ICE"

ya, i bet you like them between two slices of bread with some steak sauce too

InvisibleSoul 11-04-2014 08:24 PM

That was a solid win. I went to eat dinner with the wife and kid with a couple minutes left in the second period with the Canucks down 2-0, and then checked again like five minutes into the 3rd period and the Canucks were up 3-2. I was like :ahwow:

So far, this year's team is so different from the hot mess that Tortorella put on the ice. When the Canucks are down this year, there is a legitimate feeling that they can very well come back. Last year, there was like no hope.

At least the second time this year the Canucks have come back from down two goals to win...

fliptuner 11-04-2014 08:44 PM

Yeah, hopefully it's indicative of things to come - not counting themselves out when they're down.

i missed a good game! :ahwow:

they're finally getting faster with releasing these highlight packages

Jmac 11-04-2014 09:18 PM

Bo Horvat: 8/12 in the faceoff circle (66.7%)

:notbad:

El Bonino: 6 ES goals (11 ES points) in 13 games
That guy who wanted out: 1 ES goal (3 ES points) in 13 games

:ahwow:

Canucks at Avalanche Highlights (Nov. 4, 2014) - YouTube

they're finally getting faster with releasing these highlight packages

Good thing for these highlights. Although I really enjoyed MAKAVELI's highlights when he made them.
They were usually 8-10 mins, with enough content to make you feel like you actually did watch most of the game.
And the score wasn't spoiled, so you could literally just watch his highlights if you went in "blind" about the game.
Shootout games were intense, because every shooter was shown.

Too bad the guy was so heart-broken sometime around March, he simply shut down and stopped making highlights.
Unfortunately, all he does is just make stupid anti-Bruin videos now, which are pretty funny, but kind of pathetic to still be butt-hurt for so long.

Great win by the Canucks!

Anyone going to be at the game in SJ?

68style 11-04-2014 09:58 PM

I love the difference in the team... but let's not forget that last year we were 23-11-7 at the end of December and high up in the standings........ it only went to shit from Jan onward

XplicitLuder 11-04-2014 11:07 PM

ya cus rolling 2 lines game in and game out took a dump on those players. Everyone seems to have no less than 10-12min a night, besides sestito!

dbaz 11-05-2014 01:34 AM

67% in your first game in the nhl is quite impressive. usually rookies get dominated. if he can continue dominating the faceoffs, and play solid 2 way bo is gonna stick

m3thods 11-05-2014 05:00 AM

I have to admit when I saw Horvat's numbers I was pretty shocked, even considering that it's his first real game. He was taking draws against guys with a month of NHL action under their belt, so it's pretty promising knowing that someone on the team has the potential to be better than all of the incumbent centers on the Canucks in the circles.

Borat looked solid last night
