Dat Kass... hope it's nothing serious - didn't look good the way he threw his glove and doubled over. I'm thinking broken bone or something.

Quite frankly shocked that the Canucks one of the best teams in the league a quarter of the season in. I mean, the Devils aren't great but the boys looked so good playing this game and while they've lost a few pretty bad games this season, they haven't looked bad for two games in a row (except San Jose -> LA). They've won some pretty narrow games and lost some lopsided ones so I still don't know what to think come playoff time but damn, this is a fun team to watch this season.
And holy balls Bo Horvat please be at least a Cody Hodgson.

No thanks.

#NucksColoredGlasses | Jury still out on Kas. Until I see some consistency, he's another "project".
Was never sold on Coho, but when Gillis traded Coho away thinking Schroeder was a good replacement, it made the team's depth at centre weak. Made it worse after losing malhotra and lapierre and replaced it with Richardson, Schroeder, and Dalpe last year.

He looked largely useless on the PP with the Sedin's last night, just sitting in the middle of the o-zone waiting for the tip/slap-pass.
However, benefit of the doubt, that might've been Willie's strategy as it did draw defenders to the middle to clear out the perimeter for Sedin & Co. to do their thing, and in the end Kass actually had a decent shot at the net.

Im not planning the parade yet. We've played the Oilers 4 times in a month and a half. 8 points is the difference between 2nd in the division, and 3 spots out of the wildcard.
We have a big percentage of games against playoff teams/very good teams come spring. Also a big percentage of home games too tho.

Hindsight is 20/20, but at the time, CoHo could have been our new Linden/Kesler 1st/2nd line center. And even more so, could have filled that center position when half the team was injured. Hes off to a horrendous start this year,r But has always been a .5+ point/game player.
Kassian, on the other hand, likely wont end up being that skilled, big body power forward winger that his scouting report hoped he would be. Hes still young, but I would be surprised to see him rise above a 3rd/4th line winger

You know there's something wrong with the points system when 23 out of 30 teams in the league have records that are at least .500.
Stupid bonus point for OT losses.

Yep, too early in the season... I'm not convinced these Canucks can do damage in the playoffs, unless JB has more magic tricks up his sleeves and gear us up for Playoff hockey at trade deadline.
On top of that, Miller doesn't exactly give me the confidence for a deep playoff run. But we'll see...
Regardless of amounting only 1 playoff win in the past 3 seasons, I'll still be disappointed if they don't at least make it to the semi-finals. I know, might not be realistic when Canucks are in "retool-ing" mode. But after being a fan for so long, it's tough to feel content anymore with just a 1st or 2nd round exit.

St. Louis Blues @StLouisBlues
Blues President/GM of Hockey Operations Doug Armstrong announced that goaltender Martin Brodeur will practice with the team starting Friday.
Renaud Lavoie @renlavoietva
Martin Brodeur will practice with the Blues for a week. If everything goes well, he will sign a contract. #tvasports | Brodeur signed a PTO with the Blues. Going to be so weird seeing him in a Blues jersey.

Blues are going to regret signing Marty. He's done as far as a starter is concerned. Jake Allen's numbers are great, so I don't get why they're not just running with him.

Marty was my favorite goalie growing up, he's still my favorite goalie all time but this is a joke.
it really irks me that he won't just throw in the towel and fucking retire already.
Jesus, you're fucking old. You're not gonna steal games. You're a fucking liability now. There's a reason you're a UFA in December.
Just be proud of the amazing accomplishments, the long career with one team and the inevitable spot in HOF. Don't tarnish that image with that quickie encounter with one team where you somehow homewrecked the development of their goalie and ruined your image as a HOF goalie. I don't know what the flying fuck he's trying to prove. Ego issues or something. Fucking Christ, get over it and fucking retire already.
