we have someone who scores on breakaways! and consistently!!

fliptuner 11-28-2014 05:28 PM

Pull goalie w/ 5:22 left? ok.

MG1 11-28-2014 05:31 PM

Burrows is a MONSTER!

Burrows was buzzing all over the place prior to the goal. Well deserved. Playing so much better than last year. He's back!

pastarocket 11-28-2014 05:33 PM

Burrows!

pastarocket 11-28-2014 05:34 PM

Another Shutout for Miller.

I don't blame you for having old school hockey thinking there but with advanced statistics, the goalie pull will happen earlier and earlier if the score is 2/3-0.

I hope they keep this secret away from the media spotlight and the bandwagon fans

I'm more surprised about the Islanders. Who saw that coming??

Goes to show how quality goaltending will help a young team. Take note Edmonton.

I called them as a playoff team before the Boychuk and Leddy trades. Those two trades obviously helped cement it even more.

Leddy, Boychuk, and Halak have been great additions to that team. They always had the offense, they just needed a capable D to back it up

Yeah, their D has been huge for them this season

highfive 11-29-2014 08:37 AM

NYI were a playoffs team last year until Tavares injury. Why else would Snow trade for Vanek....lol

EuterVanWasser 11-29-2014 08:56 AM

^^ I agree. I thought they were close last year too. But ya, someone pinch me and wake me up that the Nucks are doing this well this season.

Full props to the moves GMMB and Linden have made thus far.

trancehead 11-29-2014 09:05 AM

looks like Benning knows what he is doing
lots of optimism this season

Horvat
Vrbata giving life to the Sedins
Burrows rekindling it
4 lines can roll (Had Horvat centering Hansen and someone else, which is pretty dan good 4th line)
Miller
Forward prospect group looks rich

D on the farm isnt quite there yet though. Hope we get to acquire a blueliner

Can we tell the Ryan Miller complainers at least?

spideyv2 11-29-2014 09:18 AM

Dorsett has been a good acquisition thus far

A legitimate fourth liner who plays his role well

highfive 11-29-2014 10:46 AM

Miller is a real surprise to me. Expected him to be good but Benning was right that once we solidified our goalie position to win, the team plays better. Calgary is another example with Hiller. Compare them to Edmonton with Fasth?

Bonino is a big surprise too. I thought he would fall back a little on points scoring since he wasn't playing with Getzlaf and Perry as often or on the PP with them. He's 19 points in 23 games.

Mike Oxbig 11-29-2014 10:51 AM

Canucks have the most road wins in the NHL 9-3-0

Not really racist! 11-29-2014 12:44 PM
