Tambellini was just the GM. So issues with the GM is moreso a symptom of the disease than the disease itself.

If the Oils want to get back on track, they need to treat the disease and not the symptom. They need to fire Kevin Lowe.

And guys. The Oiler issues start right at the top with Katz. He's the guy vetoing scouts and management at drafts. He's also the guy who's keeping Lowe et al employed.

The problem with the Oilers is that they can't fire their owner.

Just look in the past off-season. You look at your line up and your depth at centre weak yet you go out and sign Purcell and Pouliot? At the same time you trade away Gagner?

So you start the regular season with Nuge, Draisatl, Gordon, and Arcobello as your top 4 centres?

At least Calgary has Monahan, Granlund, Colbourne, Stajan.



For all the injuries CBJ got this year, I would love to see McDavid land in Columbus. They will become a new force in the East. And maybe I'm just a big Johansen fan.
